That potential swing towards the Tories even in labour holds in Sunderland and Newcastle is telling. Very surprised by that

Like you I can't see Corbyn going anywhere soon. Yes he was neutral on Brexit and that was the problem - he didn't appear to have an opinion. People don't generally vote for those who have no strong opinions - Boris has played a blinder.

Still can't see him "getting Brexit done" anytime this side of the next election.

Indeed.

Interesting times....

Am I right to think that to get on the leadership ballot a labour leader candidate still needs 50 MPs signatures? I bloody hope so...do you happen to know?

The country has spoken mikey ... worst Labour result since the war. In time you might come to realise Conservative voters have saved the Labour party, hopefully Corbyn,Mcdonnell on the way out soon.
He's right though, we get the country we deserve, and our future looks as bleak as it has ever looked IMO. Labour are indeed partly to blame for this.

Wow , go to bed RC that’s shocking

I suppose it is good that In Britain we are so tolerant, but some folk take this liberty to extremes - I am amazed that his constant stream of abuse and arrogant superiority over others is allowed to continue; it has been a feature of NSC on a daily basis.

If you are working class Labour has given up on you, if you are middle class Labour will tax you more, if you are wealthy Labour hates you, if you want Brexit done Labour is not interested in you, if you work in the private sector Labour despises you, if you are Jewish Labour hates you - thank you the Great British Public - Labour is finished, Corbyn is finished - 4 more years of success & prosperousness for the UK.

If you had a small amount of knowledge and as much as half a brain you wouldn't write such bollocks. Clown.

But the 100,000’s of angry left, who joined in 2015/16, have de facto control of the Labour Party. Are large numbers willing to moderate their stance on everything, to become an electable party again?

For the many, and the Jews.

What on earth does that mean? Are the Jews not part of the many? I think....you...with your slack comedy...are antisemitic.

Clearly that's what these people are thinking. In reality it will be short term pain for long term pain - as the NHS gets sold off slowly, we start importing shit meat from the US where "maximum rat hair content" is a thing and food related illness is 10 times higher than the EU, our businesses that have spent 50 years building a supply chain without attracting tariffs is destroyed overnight - and who knows, maybe the end of the union and maybe a return to guns in Ireland.

This country is going to hell in a hand cart, thanks to morons voting in enormous numbers for the most incompetent, dishonest, cowardly, talentless politicians I have ever seen.

Doesn't matter to you that none of those things are going to happen though does it.

Your post is a good example of why nobody took Labour seriously at this election.

Why is Farage being interviewed by the BBC when Brexit Party has precisely 0 MPs predicted and he didn't stand. Greens are predicted one and Lucas has actually done public service. Baffling.

Do you really think that Boris had much to do with it? he wouldn't be interviewed by anyone. He hid in fridges.

He did 118 interviews and 2 head to head interviews with Corbyn.

He didn't hide in the fridge he was working and GMB tried to sabotage his meeting.

Then the snowflakes all got excited about it.

I thought more of you Dave.
