Another peek at the bull*hit that comes from the likes of Starmer, Corbyn and McDonnell, watch it, it may just open your eyes they are not to be trusted.

There are many reasons why Labour are consistently letting down their supporters, here's one of them.

Parliament as a whole would have passed through a soft Brexit ages ago. And probably would do so now, if Johnson allowed it to actually debate the bill.
Had the government, 3 years ago, said:-

- So we're leaving.
- We've formed a cross party oversight committee.
- We've put together a team of public and private sector negotiators.
- We will return to parliament for the final rubber stamp.

We would have left a good 18 months ago with a decent deal.

Instead we got:-

David Davies.

David f**king Davies.

It's quite cute that you still think it's all Labour's fault. I mean you're wrong, but it's still cute.

Might clear some of the blockages. What's the alternative? Permanent stalemate? Pretty sure the EU have much better things to do with their time. As should our parliament

The alternative is a second referendum with detailed, implementable options. That WILL clear the blockage.

(The options need to be detailed and implementable, not 'Leave' or 'Warm' or 'Quick')

no they would not, as we saw with the indicative votes. we are stuck at the withdrawal agreement stage and they cant even decide this, because too many factions want it to support their future vision.

Or maybe a third? Or a fourth? Or just keep doing until 'the people' get the 'right' result?

Leave was far too open. Parliament cannot decide what leave means.

Imo, we should revoke Article 50, and then decide what it is that will actually benefit Britain, and then go for that.
It may take another 5 years but then what is the hurry?

And now with the official news that we won't be leaving on October 31st, It's a nice time to think back to the tory leadership debates.

The question: What will happen if we can't leave by that date

Jeremy Hunt: I want to leave by that date, but if we can't I'd do....
Crowd don't respond.

Boris: WE WILL LEAVE BY THAT DATE. You are being defeatist by even suggesting we may not. Blah blah blah.
Crowd applauds

You could probably do a video double the length of that made up entirely of Boris saying "We will leave on the 31st October"

I hear The Brexit Party are pretty much doing exactly that for their campaign in the General Election.

Childish. One of the main reasons we haven't left is that there is clearly no mandate for any one form of Brexit. Cummings has admitted Leave only won because it was intentionally vague.

It's also very common in democracies to have a confirmatory referendum at this point, so mentions of a 3rd and 4th are a bit odd.

A clearly specified referendum with the winning result to be implemented immediately upon result.

Blockage cleared, and we can all get back to moaning about the weather. Simple.

Meanwhile, an election resulting in another hung parliament just wastes yet more time ****ing about.

Could bite them on the arse if the response is to proliferate that video of Farage that's done the rounds of him going 'Norway, Norway, Norway etc..'

Explain to me how to implement the word 'Leave' and I'll agree we don't need a second referendum with detailed, implementable options

And why do you think we are in this ' whole wretched mess' ? I'll give you a clue, look at the sentence above.

This, from today's BBC news online, just about sums up the whole wretched mess IMHO:

'Marie Lebec, a member of the French National Assembly representing President Emmanuel Macron's En Marche party, said France would only agree to a delay if it was sure it was not an "extension for nothing".

"What we need from the UK is really to know what they want," she told the Today programme'

Same as it ever was throughout this painfully protracted prosess, Parliament remains resolutely unclear on what it wants. It only ever knows what it doesn't want. An object lesson in negativity. Rip it up and start again. General Election can't come soon enough.

To be fair, it's not 'Leave' that's the problem. I think the situation would be very similar if we tried to implement the words 'Warm' or 'Quick'

The Tories will be too busy banging on about Corbyn being best mates with Che Guevara or something to bother about Farage.

This is so obviously the answer. Clear way of resolving it all.

is it? or is this something imagined to suit? Switzerland who have referendum on everything and dont run confirmatory votes. Sweden voted to stay out of Euro without confirmation. looked at some others and while theres a few re-run its the exception rather than the rule.

the problem is good arguments for a second referendum are good arguments for having another later on.

that would be a different matter, if we could have an actual exit proposed, we could have a open and fair referendum. the EU wont allow negotiation on this though so here we are.

on the other hand an election isnt likely to resolve anything either (unless Conservative do get a majority, even then i wouldnt put money on them voting the same way).

if only we had a group of people that could make these decisions for us.
