If there was a second Brexit referendum how would you vote?

Actually, Leave can mean anything from Theresa May's Deal, Johnson’s Deal, No Deal a Norway style deal and all the things in between. If there were any evidence to suggest that the 17 million leave voters all wanted the same alternative relationship with the EU, there would be a mandate to leave the EU. But as Leave voters can’t even agree on which version of Leave they want, it stands to reason that, now that we actually know what Leave might look like (if you claim you knew before you’re frankly delusional), the vote should be put back to the people as Johnson’s deal vs Remain.
who are these leave voters you talk about ??? A few hundred or 17.4 MILLION, also we've had a referendum, any other vote shouldn't include remain so JOHNSON DEAL OR NO DEAL:wink:

I'd love it if there was a national unity Government with Bercow as PM to come about as a result of this shambles.

Imagine the outrage of some people on here and the right wing press.

Yep. A proper **** for following BRITISH Parliamentary rules that date back to the 1600s eh.

Silly old bat
The problem wouldn't have existed if we had left in 2016 as per the referendum and if another was held now with the same result we would be back here in 2022 arguing the same points if the MPs do what they want and not what the electorate want

The referendum was June 2016. Even if Parliament voted the very next day to trigger Article 50, the withdrawal time period was two year, so it would have been impossible to leave in 2016.

I swear my cat knows more about this than you.

Have you not been paying attention? ??? The fact that Farage and Johnson disagree about Johnson’s ‘great deal’ is a perfect example. If there were any tangible evidence that suggests that ALL Leave voters want the same version of Leave we wouldn’t be where we are now.

Why shouldn’t a second vote include remain? It’s clearly the only viable option against Johnson’s deal. The public have already indicated they don’t want a No Deal, see the 2017 GE where the majority of the public voted for parties who exclusively ruled out no deal in their manifestos or the EU elections where support for pro-remain parties eclipsed ‘hard’ Brexit parties, despite the Brexit party’s overall victory. Are you desperately clinging on to this nonsense that the ‘will of people’ in 2016 is a tangible reason to prevent people being given the chance to want to remain now? For all your bluster about ‘respecting democracy’, you really don’t seem to grasp how it works.

You're being totally unreasonable here. Keep it to words of no more than two syllables and only one sentence in length, or he won't/can't read it.
Oh, and put a few words in CAPITALS to grab his attention.

Ok, who are the Leave voters who all want what you do? Where is your evidence that all of Leave voters want the same version of Brexit? And that’s why parliament is stuck because it can’t find a version of Leave with a mandate. Leave voters who expected a trade deal won’t be happy with no deal and visa Versa which means, mathematically, you cannot please the 52%. And just because YOU may want a specific version leave, doesn’t mean that you speak for all Leave voters.

I still can't figure out if you're a professionally trained halfwit or just a talented amateur. They voted for the EASIEST DEAL IN HISTORY. As you know. Got that new leaving date yet. Want to put it in my diary.

More than happy for a GE ….. now if only Corbyn had some balls !!!!

On that we both agree... not my choice and labour needs to ditch him IF they want to get back in. my preference would be a REMAIN ALLIANCE possibly headed in the interim by one of the more established back benchers e.g. Ken Clark .
