Well noted. But I think it's rubbish.
I don't think this one is rubbish ....whether we get him or not is another matter...... I think the sticking point is that we want to loan and psg want him off the books

Northern Hemisphere.
The ORIGINAL rumour was started by someone who has joined Twitter recently and has no followers.

I'd file it under bullshit until proved otherwise.

I heard the transfer rumour was actually true and close to an agreement but Bloom eventually said no. Apparently we have a zero tolerance policy on men with women's names. Bloom decided to stick with the clubs transfer policy.

Hard to care anymore. TB knows the score. Tho is nowhere near as smart as it's always assumed he is

He is smart. On what basis are you questioning this?

I think he means 'football smart'.

Hard to argue with Hyypia chalked up against him.

Crap attitude. Being released for free. Looked lightweight and failed to perform first go in this league.

*Thumbs down*

He's contributed to more points for us than Ali J has, so I'm in.

Hands up who knows Jese personally? Thought not. How does anyone here have any idea what his attitude is like?

It's probably crap anyway but leave it to people who meet the bloke and his agent to decide if he's for us....

Debate his ability by all means...

I think you're wise to be cautious, but this article from The Telegraph last year does give me pause. We're likely to be in a relegation scrap ourselves, and we'll need committed players. Seems he wasn't of that mind during his time at Stoke:

So what's the overall verdict on this Jese Rodriguez rumour? Legit or a hoax?

I watched the video and saw the obvious skill and talent this guy has, thinking what a superb signing he'd be. But now having heard he was in a relegated Stoke team, plus I hadn't heard of him, so clearly hadn't pulled up any trees in the Prem. And to top it off someone shared the obvious lack of respect/bad character he potentially has (https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/04/21/stoke-city-talks-rip-jese-rodriguez-loan-deal-psg/)

I think despite his talent this might be a 'no' for me personally.

Interesting though that Potter was on Sky earlier saying any new signings would have to be a "good character". Has he turned down a possible Rodriguez deal I wonder?

To be fair to him, he did have a son born prematurely. This could have perhaps distracted him from the survival push

But just going AWOL in a relegation scrap and storming off down the tunnel in another game bcs he was an unused sub.

Does seem to have certain traits which are pretty high on the d1ckhead scale.

Hard to know from that really? It talks about his sick son and Lambert's desire to play like Burnley. That said disappearing isn't good either. I think only Potter can truly make the decision if he wants to work with him. Ultimately, this is the sort of decision that gets you the sack if you get it wrong or like Shaquiri at Stoke gets you a far better player than you might otherwise have attracted?

What I do know is we need some invention especially at home. We are slow and predictable and an injection of pace and a player who can make things happen would be welcome, just not sure whether it should be Jese or not.

These aren't the players you're looking for.

Agreed, I'd take his Stoke spell with a large pinch of salt, as he had been living in Madrid and Paris then gets shipped out to Stoke. Totally different environment and footballing philosophy, he was still young so it was bound to have an effect on his performance that coupled with the reported family crisis. Anyone would have trouble working with that going on.

We are still short of flair players, maybe he can inject that bit of magic needed to unlock defences?

Forget Jese - the real flairista (still almost) at Stoke is Bojan. Splits their fanbase but nearly all reckon he’s a wonderfully technically gifted player with some demons (Vicente?). Catalonian so Bruno could sort him.
