I don't bother with Shouty Time anymore, but in theory it is a political show so they are going to have EU candidates on it.

Seems reasonable to have different rules for HIGNFY leading up to an election.

Strange thing is that HIGNFY is far better at getting to the truth, in a way that people understand, through satire and hide behind the sofa questions and film clips than QT is ever capable of.
Although QT did show Farage up for the lying, manipulating, shout over everyone total bell end that he is, but they should not have allowed him to rant on like he did by answering every question with democracy.
Still if the thickos are so stupid that they can't see right through him then let them have him.

Without using your language, I am surprised that some otherwise fairly reasonable contributors on here are showing support for him and calling him 'Nige'. His hypocrisy and falsehoods are scarcely hidden!

I see Have I got News for you was pulled from the schedule last night, because one of the guests was Heidi Allen of Change UK (the sitting Parliamentary MP) and the Beeb didn't want to put her on in the run up to the Euro Elections, in the interests of impartiality.

However they broadcast MEP Nigel Farage on Thursday Night on Question Time though. Maybe Heidi just isn't as funny as Nigel ???
Them the rules. Probably booked in advance before the elections were announced.

There are really strong rules surrounding elections within broadcasters that apply to all staff, presenters and guests.

Question Time has to balanced and although Farage was previously on HIGNFY before a previous election it was outside the stipulated window.

A lot of bollocks posted about this on the internet.

Bookies also backing the polls up, and usually they're not wrong. Various odds available today.

Brexit Party 1/7 - 1/10 - 1/7 - 1/8 - 1/8 - 1/7 - 1/20 - 2/13 - 1/20 - 1/20 - 1/20 - 1/20 - 1/20 - 1/8

By comparison Man City are 1-6 to beat us tomorrow

For someone that claims to know everything you've shown some ignorance with this post !

Putting aside you don't like him, having Farage on QT during the election period doesn't break OFCOM regulations as other parties are represented on the panel so no single party can say something that can't be challenged by another party.

With Heidi Allen she was going to be the only politician on the show and so could in theory say anything she likes and it couldn't be challenged by another political party running in the elections - thus it would break OFCOM regulations.

To really show somebody up for what they are you need to interview them for more than 5 or 6 minutes and more than questions on panel shows. In that time frame it doesn’t matter what they are asked, they already know what they are going to say whether it answers the question or not .
Only when you go past that 5/6 min mark do they have to start thinking and giving unprepared answers.
Politicians or people in power simply don’t give interviews longer than this these days because they are not capable of keeping the facade up. Gone are the 30 min interviews dedicated to one on one conservation. They’d talk themselves out of a job within 15 mins.

The Footy Genius is so excited at a political party with 'Brexit' in the name, that makes him finally feel truly represented and part of something, headed up by Nigel Farage and Ann Widdecombe that's going to restore The UK's credibility and stop us being an international embarrassment, that he's putting up links from both the Guido Fawkes blog site and The Daily Telegraph in the same post. How lovely.

It’s like catnip to these loons. One big collective delusion. Wait til they come round and realise what they have done.

It's not about restoring the UK's credability - it's about kicking the Tories, and to a lesser extent Labour, where it hurts for their utter failure to deliver Brexit. If both the main parties had done what they both promised then there would be no need for a Brexit Party.

To be fair , the Tory party tried to deliver Brexit and failed. The Labour Party are welcome to try. They will fail. The Brexit party may get a chance to try. They will fail. Brexit is undeliverable in any coherent form. It’s fundamentally unworkable.
All Farage hopes to achieve is to crash out with no deal. Believe you me, nobody will thank him for that once they experience what that actually means.

It must be so frustrating for someone like you that the Withdrawal Agreement and the exact Brexit you voted for 3 years ago is there within touching distance, but the Tories and Labour won't vote for it.

Still, I'm sure The Brexit Party and Nigel Farage, Ann Widdecombe and Rees-Mogg's sister with the name like the Latin term for a sexually transmitted disease et al will shake some sense into them and it'll pass and we'll stop being an international embarrassment soon enough.

Forgive me for being ignorant but how exactly do The Brexit Party plan on having the final word on Brexit unless they become the U.K. government? Or is that their plan?
