Ok then, largest mandate in British voting history, not sure that's any better for you though, and yes, it is being ignored, and you can't begin a new sentence with And

Ignored? It has been the dominant news story and order of government business for three years. It’s not our fault it is a shit, unworkable idea that will never benefit the U.K. and likely be impossible to implement. Ignored? Pah! Away with you.

It's not the largest mandate in British voting history. In fact the original referendum to JOIN the EEC was won by approximately 67% to 33%, rather than 52-48 and still had 17 million or so votes in favour.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resul...om_European_Communities_membership_referendum

And you can start a sentence with "and" because I just did. There is no rule at all in historical grammar to say that you can't. Presumably teachers, teaching by rote in the 70s and 80s just found it easier.

Independent fact checker says so.

Was it the largest mandate?

A separate but related claim is that the 17.4 million votes in favour of leaving the EU was “the largest mandate for anything in British political history”. This is a more accurate version of the claim.

A mandate can be understood, in this sense, as the democratic authority given by the people to the government to do something.

Depending on how you define a mandate, it’s reasonable to say that Brexit has the largest ever mandate given for something in the UK, as more people voted for it than any other single electoral option in British political history. 17,410,742 people vote in favour of leaving the EU in 2016, which is fractionally higher than the 17,378,581 people who voted in favour of staying in the European Community in 1975.

it now seems that there's a large group of remainers out there who would vote Leave in any 2nd referendum out of anger that that the largest democratic vote in our history was being ignored.

Is this why Remain now leads in all the polls?

It has been the dominant news story and order of government business for three years. A Parliament that doesn't really believe in it, and has done everything in it's power to frustrate, delay and thwart the whole process in the hope we'll all just go away and forget about it.

It’s not our fault it is a shit, unworkable idea that will never benefit the U.K. How do you know, have you got a crystal ball ?

and likely be impossible to implement. See above.

Ignored? Pah! Away with you. I'm not going anywhere, I'm on the winning side.

"Depending on how you define a mandate". With no link to your independant fact checker let's consider that the total number of votes differed by only around 30,000 but the number as a proportion of those eligable to vote was much smaller in the Brexit Referendum. It is arguably a smaller mandate. I suspect you originally got the idea from the quote from the Brexit Department but, to use an oft-used cliche, they would say that wouldn't they?

Whatever the impact on our citizens? Would it not be better to refine the outcome you wish for?

Waffle on, you interpret it however you want, I'm sticking with the independent fact checker. BIGGEST mandate in electoral history.

Corrupt illegal vote as admitted by Theresa May's QC in a court of law.

You are so confident it is the will of the people so let's rerun it and see what happens now. Legally.

Bloody Worthing!
The local government election results will be declared soon (some overnight, others in mid morning, I believe). Of course Brexit will be an issue and it will be interesting to see

a) the actual results and b) the spin put on them by Remainers and Leavers

Whatever transpires the pundits, journos and academics will gorge themselves on the results and I daresay that various posters on this thread will get excited too...…………...Anecdotal evidence: at my poling station I saw the Tory and the UKIP guys engaged in what seemed like a pleasant conversation. Bit disappointed as I expected to witness at least a fist-fight,

Look i voted to leave the EU , if that means a SHORT period of instability so be it , i'm not going over all the same old ground that's been done to death on here but what i will say is LEAVE MEANS LEAVE as Instructed by the Referendum result.

The independant fact checker that you haven't linked to in two posts?

Do they also mention that, by the standards you are using, it was also the biggest mandate AGAINST in electoral history?
