France is opposing any further extension, if it does not have a concrete plan with clear support in the Commons, saying that without one Britain must be deemed to have chosen to leave the EU without a deal.

I think we'd have the same attitude to the French is they had been disrupting the whole of the EU for the last two and a half years with a nationalist trantrum

It really is little surprise the EU likes the backstop so much, its a safeguard incase we don't have a plan at the end of transition.

Incorrect. It’s been pointed out and proved time and again on here that we will ALWAYS have the veto on joining the Euro. It’s this kind of scaremongering and inaccuracy that lead to Brexit to start with.

I can not say with 100% accuracy if true or not as I can not remember the source but it was recent I heard that it was reported that the Euro Parliament were going to force every member of the EU to use the Euro after 2022 veto or not.

As I say I have no idea what the source was but it was reputable as thats why I took notice of it myself. You are free to disagree I am not intending to start or quote rumours or troll by saying what I have.

I saw Sir Ivan Rogers saying the other day that an extension is not by any means guaranteed next week.

It's not just France and Macron - there's a growing rump - Bettel, Michel, Grybauskaite - they've had enough of our procrastination.

The 'source' was somebody in your own echo chamber with a Leave agenda. Or an illicitly funded 'viral' bit of propaganda on facebook.

Its utter, utter bollocks.

You lost this discussion a while ago. Do yourself a favour and tap out.
75k as a wage not common, it is a privilaged wage and position.

Good grief ! Surely you have some exams to study for Plooks ? Revision might be better than making yourself look stupid on here. And stop comparing your paper round money to proper wages.

not quite, the non-Euro adopting nations are supposed to be progressing to adoption along that time frame. UK and Denmark (with veto) not included for now.

An interesting take on the Newport by-election. Despite voting 56% for Brexit, they have returned a Remain MP. Yes, Labour always win in Newport, but despite the warnings that Labour voters would desert them if they campaigned for Remain, the vote was upheld.
Hamilton just about kept his deposit.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/brexit-finished-leave-constituency-just-14240090

Labour have so much more to lose from aiding a disasterous Tory Brexit than they do in aiding a confirmatory public vote on the final deal.

Ah silly me, experts that back your view are correct, experts that back an alternative view are wrong. At least you've finally admitted your arrogance and blinkeredness ( if there is such a word ! ).

That does sum pillock up quite nicely!!

Your source was an old and incorrect article in the Telegraph that a Conservative MP re-tweeted.

Fake news.

Because that is what the other (newer) non-Euro nations signed up for.

We didn't, and have the absolute right of veto. To suggest anything else is disingenuous bullshit.

You see. This os the type of insults the privileged throw about. Insult the intelligence people of lower income and then mock their income compared to theirs.
You are so wrong on so many levels it is almost funny.

I'm privileged ? How so ?

Your entitled to your opinion but your wrong , it was actually on one of the TV news channels and a European somebody (so called expert) who said it but as I said no idea who , all I can say is it was a reputable person on a reputable channel. I wont get in an argument over it as I say I dont wish to get involved in rumours or hearsay I just posted it as a possibility like the Euro Army & the Financial Commissioner/Director that the EU wish to have.

Can you post links to each and everyone of these experts views please, or the list means nothing. Whilst you're at it, maybe try and find out how many of these experts predicted the 2008 crash. I would presume all of them, so if you can post proof of that as well, people may take your cut and paste lists seriously. If they didn't predict the 2008 crash, or said as the then COE predicted an leave vote would mean a recession and hundred of thousands of job loses, please remove them from your list as they can't really be very expert when it comes to Economics, despite all their fancy titles.

I wont get in an argument over it as I say I dont wish to get involved in rumours or hearsay I just posted it as a possibility like the Euro Army & the Financial Commissioner/Director that the EU wish to have.

That's good, because there really is no argument to be had. Just like any proposed 'EU Army', adopting the Euro is something that the UK has an absolute veto over. It simply not debatable.

Well a closed mind is always a closed mind .... if you actually bothered to look at the plans for closer ties that the EU propose it does indeed include a EU Army & Financial Commissioner so maybe you should do some more research.

If you are not you certainly act like it. Privilaged and ignorant. You turn your nose up and insult anyone you perceive to be "lower" than yourself.

Ah, so you have no evidence of me being 'privilaged' then ! As usual, all mouth no trousers. Really, you are such a prick. You say something and then go around in circles trying to get out of it.

So I'll ask again, especially as you have history of accusing people of not answering questions, how exactly am I 'privilaged' ? If you want to accuse someone of something you need to be able to back it up.
