People are at perfect liberty to hate blacks, Jews and gays, they are just not permitted to disseminate their hatred or stir up hatred amongst others.

In some respects it might be considered preferable that their hatred is voiced on here where their opinions will be shot down, ridiculed and marginalised rather than on a forum of like minded individuals where those opinions will be condoned, supported and given validity.

No thanks. We are not social workers. How many times do you need someone to shit on your lawn to stop inviting them round? I'd rather these people stick to their neonazi forums where the special branch can monitor them without being distracted by the rest of our witterings.

Edit: forgot to mention - I think NSC is fine, and has improved hugely in the last few years.

Makes me laugh all this current pc bollox , A large amount of NSC members have taken part on a massive scale a keyboard warrior style of internet bullying of another NSC member , so much so that member stopped posting on a regular basis infact i can't recall the last time i saw him post , it may well seem harmless fun to take the piss out of people with learning difficulties on a football forum but i know 100% that nobody would say anything to his face that they've done on here , he's ultimately decided it's just not worth the hurt posting anymore , seems a shame that somebody has been singled out for being different and abused for it , iv'e only got to look at the NSC banner to realise it still seems to people to be just a bit of fun , it's not .

I'm absolutely sure iv'e taken the piss out of people on here i don't even know in the real world , would i do it to their face ? probably not , it's a fine line between humor and abuse and sometimes the old fingers get carried away before the brain kicks in , i would hate to see a mod fest pouncing on every single thread for some irregularity , best way to filter out the dirge is to keep football in a separate section to the rest of the How do i get to Hove from Brighton wearing a flowery hat threads .
The 'wouldnt say it to his face' line is always a little odd.

I see that as 'they wouldn't walk up to a complete stranger and say that?'

Well no I don't imagine most if any on here would 'keyboard warrior' a complete stranger.
But what many (obviously not us true Sussex folk) would do when someone is confronted by a dickhead repeatedly acting like a dickhead is call them a dickhead.

It takes two to tango.

Hang on a minute do we have the right ratio of left v right mods???

Despite the rather benign name, the poster I was replying to is in my opinion a racist dickhead, who really isn't worth wasting any time on. The numbers were completely made up and intended to waste his time - apologies if anyone else was trying to resolve this.

I wouldn't know about the first bit. But in a way am glad that there isn't a mystical element of thread searching I don't know about!

Never apologise for time wasting on my last working day of the year. I will now just have to go back to playing football manager at my desk.

The ignore option also works well

Unless you mention when youre reading a thread with contributions from 'the ignored' (as I always do, for clarity, and a bit of shit stirring). There are some people who just can't stop themselves from being offended on behalf of someone I have on ignore, and become enraged when I mention it. This gives me immense pleasure. Why don't they simply put me on ignore??? :lolol:

Having run a couple of (far smaller) forums myself I have noticed that if a light amount of moderation turfs off aggressors and trolls then significantly more folk start posting.

For every troll that bemoans the loss of 'free speech' there are ten new posters grateful for their departure.

Considering the amount of infractions I've had in the past and the fact I never been nasty to anyone I must be the nicest person to be thrown out of NSC:moo:

What have you done FFS? I got a telling off for a picture I posted on here a few years ago. But that was deserved.

You say that but alot of regular posters who I thought were pretty sound are in favour of young boys being raped from a topic just two days ago.

I think it works very well as it is.Once you point out to most people, for example, that their obsession with pork by-products is probably both anti-semitic and perverted, they desist from this abuse, without resort to moderators or ignore buttons.:D

You know you've really made it when you get a PM from a fellow poster calling you needy.

I had to think long and hard about whether it was worth explaining irony.
I decided against it, based on the fact they'd be unlikely to understand.

Quite. Fifteen years ago if you posted anything sensible then the likes of FG would try to bully you. I stopped posting on here for around ten years because the place was overrun with cretinous trolls, openly racist dick heads and bullies.

It is generally lovely, now. It does help in the interim to put people on ignore (funny how many people I had on ignore are now banned), but it is psychologically wise to keep repeating the fact. I'm not entirely sure why, but maybe it has something to do with owning the situation. Not once has anyone told me I'm missing out on any top bantz by blocking poster X or Y - I just get people (someone will always do this) accusing me of being boring or snoflakesque by mentioning it 'because nobody cares' (apart from you, dear, obviously). Why is it that thick people don't understand irony? :lolol:

Four. But I've always made allowances for the type of company I keep.

Yeah....four is about right. 'Sorry, I didn't know'; 'I wasn't feeling well'; 'that wasn't me', and after that its the highway.

Now THIS is spreading hate. I have NEVER resorted to calling another poster names such as this. It takes a pretty hateful person to even think of using such terminology.

Attention snowflake mods …. infraction required for unnecessary name-calling.

And I guess your response tells me that you are unable to identify any such threads. Thought so.
