Wonder what they appeased the Spanish re Gibraltar with?

they had their say and probably a sentence in the text. they just want to perpetuate their claim, if at any event they deglect to raise it, the claim diminishes.

But we're not leaving the EU under the current agreement, that's not leaving and you know it [/url]

We will no longer be in the EU. Doesn't matter what other agreements we have in place, trade, immigration, laws, etc. etc. We won't be in the EU. That is the only question we were asked in the referendum.

Leave means Leave.

As I hoped was clear, I was referring to the internecine conflicts between the nations of Western Europe and for that reason I disagree. The primary role of NATO isn’t to bring those nations together and I can’t recall a case of the UN having to mediate between EU members but please correct me if you can.

Plus an unending operation between an EU nation, and a one-time aspirant, Cyprus/Turkey.

The referendum didn't ask whether we should have further deals and agreements WITH the EU or not, it only asked if we wanted to Leave it. Contracts and agreements are control for the contracting parties.

You didn't honestly think we'd leave the EU then have no dealings or agreements with them did you?

Thought so, your geography and geopolitical knowledge once again knows no bounds. :lolol:

Europe is not the EU and none of those countries have ever been in the EU. Lincoln Imp was specifically talking about the EU and the UN. [Edit, when the UN were involved.]

I can’t recall a case of the UN having to mediate between EU members but please correct me if you can.

'Tied in', you didn't expect us to have any agreements whatsoever with our biggest export market? That was never on the table though was it. Even the Leave campaign told us we'd have access to those markets and the EU needed us etc. etc.

What is peoples opinion of what Leave means.

The main issues for me are

The EU have no say on our laws. (other than a trade laws where our goods have to comply and labelled with EU standards, I can live with that)
We pay nothing to the EU for any type of membership.
We are free to trade with anyone anywhere else in the world.
EU citizens have no free right to access the UK. (Happy for existing EU nationals to remain if they seek British citzenship, but no more family member or friends to arrive, as well as EU citizens who warrant working visas)
We have full access and rights to our waters, and no EU access to our waters without separate agreements/fees.

I may have missed something but I think tick all those boxes, and I consider us out.

For what it's worth, mackerel is my favourite fish, smoked or raw.

Hmmmm, as reasons go for plunging an entire country into economic ruin, sadly, I doubt 'cheap mackerel' is even in the top 5.

Most of the tab will be picked up by the EU not giving us massive rebates.
