you really are a joker, most people who voted Brexit knew exactly what they were voting for and that was to LEAVE the EU completely, WHAT DO YOU FIND SO HARD TO ACCEPT ABOUT THAT , give up on your wishy washy half baked assumptions
regards
DR

I find it hard to accept that you know anything at all.

Everyone in Norway and Switzerland are secretly wishing they are like Greece, part of the EU with all the benefits that it brings.

There was a little statistic that the EU imports more to us than we sell to them, so its in their interest to make a fair deal.

You do realise that we all know that chlorine washing of Chicken is not the major problem in itself, we all know our tap water is chlorinated and swim in chlorinated pools. It is that by allowing it, it allows poor hygiene and welfare practices to continue.
Eggs in the EU are not permitted to be washed, in the US, they must be washed, the EU stance is in part to ensure that egg producers in the EU do not allow their birds to live in filthy conditions.

Quite frankly,I don't believe you all know that. Most of you seem to pick up on 'bleat of the day' on Twitter or the Grauniad and repeat it ad infinitum like a bunch of sheep. In fact at least one of you seems to think that chickens swim around in chlorine their whole lives.

Congratulations on one of the most stupid posts on this thread (and, trust me, there is some serious competition).

Unless of course, you can point me in the direction of the 'EVERYONE in Norway and Switzerland' quote.

Or where the 'little statistic' on imports was.

I am trying as hard as I can to believe that the majority of Brexit voters aren't idiots but you're really not helping

Norway and Switzerland are quite happy as they are, they don't seem to mind being rule takers, but I thought taking back control, not handing it over was the mantra?

I lived in Switzerland a few years ago when they had a referendum where the people voted to curb immigration from the EU. They are now considering an even tougher one. Their largest party in government, the Swiss People's Party (their equivalent of UKIP) keeps getting stronger as the Swiss see the mess the EU is making of so many things. Swiss people want to preserve their way of life, and who can blame them. They will never join the EU.

Thanks to their long standing " Neutrality " they are a bit hands off when it comes to commiting to anything.... Mind you, they were ok-ish with Nazi Germany.

Ok so Norway and Switzerland are desperately wishing to join the EU like all the recent poor eastern European countries, which the rich countries have to pay for to try and get them to same level.

I guess you were also calling people idiots when for certain reasons we didn't join the euro to get into this project more seriously. Most people would think we dodged a bullet there with hindsight.

Not everyone has your vision of a EUSSR

They voted for it, as many assumed they could have their cake and eat it, curb free movement and maintain EU bilateral treaties, but once the EU said that it would void all their bi-lateral agreements, the government decided to stick with free movement of people. They did however introduce legislation that some jobs were advertised through local agencies before hiring a non Swiss person, as a way of honoring the vote to some extent.
Curbing free movement is popular in Switzerland with the voters, yet not so many are keen on it at the expense of all the treaties with the EU, about 60% would prioritise maintaining the treaties over curbing immigration, 35% the other way and 5% undecided.

At least have the balls to stand by your statement.

I'm sorry but I really can't be arsed with wasting keyboard strokes on this

I see, you must be one of those rich people that thinks that you shouldn't have to pay taxes towards the running of state schools because you send your kids to private ones. Most of us agree with the principle that the best off should pay to help the less well off. It doesn't make us Stalinists.

Most of what you say is correct, but I am interested to know where you got your %s from for current opinion.

The SVP are wanting new, tougher action because they believe that the government as a whole (for which they are only one part - 2 seats out of 7 in the cabinet) didn't honour the last vote. See this article for another view of how people are feeling:
