Swansea are playinjg Bournemouth and then Stoke on the last day so they can lose against Shampton. And Shampton can beat Everton and Swansea so they don't need to beat City. Going into the last game of the season it could see us needing a draw to stay up and Huddersfiled needing to beat Arsenal and West Ham needing to beat Leicester.

We can only probably assume the outcome of the season next weekend but it won't take a miracle to have four teams within 2 points of us on the last day of the season. We can only start celebrating another season with a draw against Man U at the earliest. I don't really get the "Chances are we will stay up" confidence even though the chances are we will. I recon we have 80% chance of staying up.

80%. You're Eeyore-ish. The bookies have it at 98%.

If that is what you would offer would you take a £100 bet?

Sorry - don't understand. I'm not offering anything - you're suggesting it's 5/1, bookies are suggesting it's 50/1.............was just wondering why your views are so far away from theirs ?

I am not a mathematician, just working on gut feeling , but a bet is a bet and would you offer 50/1 on your gut feeling?

Nope, I'm not quite as confident as the bookies........but not as pessimistic as you either. I'm also a novice gambler so wouldn't have a clue about setting odds. :)

It was 66/1 straight after our draw with Burnley. I took that as an insurance bet. Only a fiver though. Since then it has been dropping.

Yeah I'm not a gambler but would only offer 5/1 on a friendly bet just on the basis of all results going against us this weekend. That means, if we lose, Swansea beating Bournemouth and Southampton beating Everton will put us 2 points above relegation. I wouldn't like to bank on these games not going against us.

With 50/1 available no-one would take 5s :)

And then West Ham lost 4-1 and it started to drift out again . You can still get 50-1.

Standard have us in their “run-ins” column. Alongside a column fretting about how West Ham are in “free fall”

Jonathan Pearce...also included us on radio five tonight during the relegation talk pre Spurs/Watford...no one else had! :( ...who cares anyway :D

Durham included us in discussion on Talksport as well, but seemed to conclude that although we wouldn’t get any more points, we’ve probably got enough already. Consensus seemed to be West Ham are a bit in the poop, along with Hudds, and Saints might escape.

i had a free bet which I've used on West Ham this weekend at 14/1.also placed some dough on Huddersfield and Swansea a few weeks agoat reasonable odds....hoping it goes down to the wire as i might lay them

I’ve got Saints from weeks ago, and some on Hudds more recently. I’ll be up as long as one of then drops !

Everyone keeps saying about Hudds tough run in and they won’t get another point. Their last home game is Arsenal. This is the same Arsenal who’ve acquired the grand total of 0 points in their away games in 2018. Wenger’s last game might spark something different but I’d suggest Hudds have a great chance of getting to 38 points. I can see a final day scenario where Hudds, Saints, Swansea & West Ham can all go above us with a win. We really do need a point on Friday...
