It seems to me that there are quite a few Tories prepared to bend over backwards to accommodate a great deal with the US, but don't want to make any concession to help maintain a better one with the EU.
We can't say we don't want to be in the club and then blame them when they say we can't use the clubhouse.

You are spectacularly incorrect if you think the press is free in this country it is owned and run by the Establishment and it is they that set the agenda a very good example was the NHS march in London at the weekend 60,000 people and not one mention on the BBC on that days news, it took a tweet from Trump for the BBC to report it.

Nonetheless, panellists mentioned that sustained rises in sales, acquisitions and new offerings underpinned output expansion.

Inflows of new business increased at a slightly quicker pace in January, with growth attributed to successful marketing campaigns, greater market shares and the offering of new services.

Service providers further engaged in hiring, with employment having now increased continuously for one-and-a-half years. Moreover, the rate of job creation accelerated slightly to a four-month high. Anecdotal evidence suggested that the upturn in headcounts reflected the opening of new branches, projects in the pipeline and positive output expectations.

Indeed, services firms remained optimistic that business activity will be higher over the course of the year, with business confidence the strongest since last March. Sentiment was boosted by planned increases in capex, advertising efforts and greater market shares.

Duncan Brock, Director of Customer Relationships at the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply, said:

“Brexit blame has emerged once again as the reason for the slowdown in growth of services activity, which was at its lowest since September 2016 as consumers reined in spending and displayed anxieties about the future.

“However, this lack of confidence appeared to be at odds with companies as there was a significant rise in business expectations to the highest for almost a year. Some firms were also discounting to remain competitive and launching new products, which is a strong indicator that businesses expect consumers to start spending again soon.

She also says the Government hopes to give Brexit clarity in the 'next few weeks.'

Back in 2015 for the first time in 23 years, they won an election and had a clear run 5 years in government, a working majority and a chance to prove themselves. Its completely toxic for them now and only themselves to blame. They have a lot of sensible people but somehow they've allowed 40-50 extremists and the right wing media to lead them on a road to ruin.

Labour aren't clear where they are at right now, but as the opposition they can sit it out and watch the opposition disintegrate, then take their opportunity
