Well it certainly won't be remoaners doing it,as you're all leaving the country.Do you think it will be on tv.:lolol:

I think we shoud return to the Victorian days of holidaying families, where the women take the kiddies off to spend two weeks picking fruit, and living in shared accomodation with all the other families, and the husbands can join over the weekend when they're not hard at work down the coal mines.

Radio 5 has a phone-in on this right now. First caller is complaining she can't understand what her cancer consultant was saying because the doc is foreign, and meanwhile a foreign person was overheard saying she has come to the UK so her husband can have her cancer treated. This caller also said that EU workers are picking fruit because employers (who were hinted as being foreign) refuse to employ Brits. The tragedy is that these ignorant lying morons have stolen the agenda, and clowns like Fox and Davies think that as long as they march into battle paying lip service to this agenda, all will be well. I am willing to bet money that throwing out all the europeans picking our fruit will not open up employment opportunities for the feckless loutish smelly locals I see milling about here during daytime, here.

A young and talented doctor I have been working with, a specialist and experimntalist (cream of the crop) is leaving London this month to take up a job in Canada. The reason is that the job here is now relatively underpaid, excessively beurocratic and staff are increasingly being treated like chess pieces in someone else's game. If young talented people with higher end jobs are leaving the UK because prospects (pay and employment conditions in relation to lifestyle and housing and schooling) are crap, where does that leave the rest of us? Stuck here with cretins who spend all their waking hours brooding about foreigners.... it is time people got their heads out of their arses and stopped acting like the 'offensive translator'....

Be a good way for university students to pay off their debts.Good training for when they get their degrees-healthier than working in Starbucks or Maccy D's!

Its going to be driven by economics, nobody will want to screw up a main trading partner as that will cause a trade war. The eu are in a bind, they will want to make it look bad as a deterrent without it actually being bad.

The EU are not in a bind.

May is useless, I would offer them a take it or leave it deal as we do hold all the cards. who will be next out? Poland or Hungary?

You still really believe that?

Yeah but who IS going to do it?

There are plenty of unemployed people all over the EU.I'm sure they will welcome even short term work, for adequate compensation. There were plenty of French families picking fruit in the Vendee,in exchange for holiday accomodation.

She is right.

Only 70% ish are true democrats and patriots .. including most remainers.

Skilful conjuring.

You are invoking a situation whereby the dark forces of Remain park tanks around Westminster (pointing outwards) and simply refuse to enact the referendum result. The 30 per cent you allude to above are people who want this to happen, plus the don't-knows. I am surprised it is that high to be honest.

But this isn't what we were talking about.

We were talking about the implication that only Brexiters are true democrats and patriots. This is nonsense of course and even you seem to be dialling back from that now, saying above that anyone who definitely doesn't want to park the tank can be a TD&P.

So perhaps you can confirm that your legions of 'true democrats" can indeed include all non-tank parkers, including those who feel that the electorate should be offered a different EU policy to the one being pursued by Downing Street - a soft Brexit perhaps, or even a non one. If you can't, what exactly is the basis of your continuing claim that they are non-democratic and unpatriotic?

Well, of course the only truly democratic thing to do now would be to hold another vote once we know what deal is on the table. But it's too late now for anything to go our way whether we leave or stay because May, Davies and Farage have insulted everyone influential from Westminster to Brussels. While the chuckleheaded Leavers had a good giggle at a brit telling a foreigner he's useless it didn't really get us anywhere except into a mess that nobody is now willing to assist us with. Toxic.

Nope, you just misinterpreted my post. 'We' weren't talking about anything. I was just continuing a tit for tat point scoring exercise with MoS he first mentioned the term patriot.

Can anyone explain how a vote on the final deal is anything but democratic? This would be a vote for people who will have at least some understanding about what they are voting for rather than a vote based on lies and economic modelling.

Put it in a football context and imagine a vote in June.

Should Brighton spend 20 million on a striker this transfer window?
Yes
No

I would imagine an overwhelming win for yes.

Imagine a vote on deadline day

Should Brighton spend 20 million on Billy Paynter
Yes
No

Slightly different when you have a bit more info what you are voting on isn't it?

Okay. As we're playing posting pictures and videos of women from Northern Ireland on a Brighton & Hove Albion supporters website, I'll see your Kate Hoey and raise you Nadine Coyle. I win.

It's not undemocratic, it's just pointless. The damage is done.

Interesting to note that the thickest posters on this board are also the last Brexit voters to even bother trying to pretend it's gonna be fine
I thought you voted remain?

I think what the previous poster means is if we had engaged when we joined, gained their trust, attended the committee meetings etc.
Gained their trust! My personal view is that we've always been treated like shit by the EU (and EEC). When we got rid of CJD the French still refused to accept our beef, despite the laws that said they had to. We got screwed over by the common agricultural policy, the EU let Spain over-fish. The EU want our money and that's where their interest in us ends. Gained their ****ing trust

The damage isn't yet done because we're still in the EU.

Common sense dictates that there should be a referendum on whether or not to accept the final deal on offer because - for the first time - we'll actually know what voting to Leave will mean without having any of this "£350 million a week to the NHS" cake and eat it bollocks that duped enough of the electorate to swing the vote in the first place.
