Tony Bloom is a world class poker player and he finds himself in a real life 6 days poker session with millions at stake. In theory this should be right up his street.

We need two quality strikers but there are also plenty of quality players and agents looking for that move. We have much to offer, and I have a sneaking feeling Tony will find it difficult to resist going big on one player.
Although it's odd for such an astute man to have left himself in the position where it's more about the turn of a card than strategy.

Who knows what he has up his sleeve? An ace in the hole?

Go be fair the club had months to get the ball running and sat back til the last minute.....
If we go down it's not at all a bad thing although let's be honest we will certainly get relegated because our squad is bloody dire for this division.

I'm still hopeful that one day you might post something correct and sensible on here. Could be a long wait, thought.

I think the bedwetting will jump to warp factor 10 when we've suffered another defeat without scoring in around 6 hours time, and I may well be leading the charge.

I guess if I'd looked at the fixture list carefully, I might have forecast it, but it could be that we'll be 9 (nine) points behind Huddersfield later today. That's quite a head start when the finish line is something like 40 points.

We really should be at least scoring a goal against the likes of Watford :moo:

Do you honestly, truly believe that?

I find it incredible that people can seriously think that. It just shows such a total lack of understanding about anything that our club does these days, and about football in general. It is astonishing.

I think the bedwetters have gone too early. Another defeat without scoring a goal and a keeper error could mean they have reached saturation point and left nothing in the locker for when we get stuffed 6 - 0 later in the season.

But now he's playing the last hand in last chance saloon.
Any of us useless fat blokes would fancy their luck in what is now a game of chance.

Today was always going to be THE game.

The fact the Albion go into it with 1 fit striker and money in the bank, doesn't bode well.

It would almost be worth it. I wonder how the big mouths, abusive "you know f*** all abut football" types will approach that one. Like many I've steered clear as I don't do name calling but I'll be an interested spectator

NSC would be so dull if someone posted " How great is this club? and oh never mind we have lost again " and everyone agreed :)

There are those who love nothing more than a binfest because it's so boring when things are going well. Some who like to stir it up a bit, and don't actually believe what they are posting.
Some think it's amusing to wind people up, especially the optimists, and some who bet on how many pages their posts will achieve.

Then there are those who are just thick.

I hope you are fecking joking. Are you telling me Hemed is the only fit striker? This striker situation is starting to look like a right **** up by the club imo. There are no excuses for being 5 days off the close of the window with NO Premier League pacy striker, although plenty on here are likely to think it's all down to bad luck rather than shitehouse planning/negotiating.

If it was that easy to recruit Newcastle would be awash with talent. Even Spurs have only signed one player. The end of the window is going to be mental.

People who use the term bed-wetting are the biggest tw@ts on this board. You clearly can't take justifiable criticism of the club's recruitment this summer. Well, suck it up...

I agree to some extent, Your username is going to make you a target though.

Baldock is definitely injured.
Murray ? certainly limped off injured last week.
Everyone else are wingers.

I was castigated by Pravda for pointing out CH was clever in stressing Jose was a 'forward' player and not a winger.

It seems that might already be coming back to bite him on the bum.

We'll find out in half an hour
