Regardless of any allegiances,

rubbish, all the left think Corbyn had a blinder, the right think May had a blinder. i thought neither said anything of interest, both played a straight bat with Paxman, we've learnt nothing from this.

'No deal is better than a bad deal'?????

No life is better than a bad life? Bollocks. I want to live and am prepared to suffer hardship to do so. I'm not going to ****ing top myself if I get ill or suffer financial issues.

If she thinks threatening to flounce off is the best plan, she's an idiot.

Blimey, the blinkered lefties are out tonight.

Yep.

That was as decent a performance from May as I can remember seeing, and across this thread I have been very critical of her. I still couldn't vote for her, but I suspect many who were sitting on a fence will have been impressed by that.

The odds of May being the next PM on Betfair have shortened over the last half hour - that won't be a coincidence.

Neither of them said ANYTHING of any note. Both swerved the tricky ones and refused to give figures. Waste of time.

And what was your take on the event? Please share your wisdom with us 'blinkered lefties'? ???

Same as any debate, if you support one, you see it that way. As there seems to be more lefties on the board tonight, and in general, the Corbyn will come out the winner.
As for me, neither Tory or Labour, but letting Corbyn anywhere near our Brexit is madness...in my opinion.

Most political scientists seem to agree that these kind of events make extremely little difference to the outcomes of elections because the only people who watch them already know who they are going to vote for. Probably most likely to influence journalists if anything. Don't think anything really changed after tonight, there were no gaffes or particularly bad moments from either. I think if anything the barometer would swing slightly towards Corbyn as I feel he has more to prove, simply putting in a performance would achieve more for him.

I'm neither left or right - just saying as I see and certainly the evidence is showing more and more people abandoning May and supporting Corbyn - and on tonight's evidence it's easy to see why. I doubt I will vote for either.

Very light on detail and big on evasion and offloading any definitive costs, numbers etc well in to the future by when she hopes to have the majority to do what she thinks we want.

How the f**king hell are they are the best two candidates for the job?

And the fact that one of them is in number 10 already is incredible.

I agree with your first point but I fail to see how May had a 'good game'. She didn't answer any questions and the audience laughed at her. I know I'm biased but...

The odds have drifted on May becoming the next PM. That won't be a coincidence - Corbyn smashed it compared to May.
