You may remember my manta was always 'keep our powder dry till the start of April, then see where we are'.

It just amazes me we fighting The Promotionists (and Midtablers!) back in the middle of February.
In the last 7 and a bit days, we've done 6 points over Huddersfield. If that had been the other way round, we'd be level on points and they'd have a game in hand. That's how easily it could have changed.

As it is though, we're going up :D

IF Hudds win every single one of their remaining games and finish above us the they thoroughly deserve it.
Unless it's because of dodgy decisions.

Blimey! Even you're saying it now. That must be it. We're there.

Right from fixture release day I'd always earmarked April as a haul.

Naturally I'd anticipated us passing tired horses when the calendar clicked over.
So being second and 6 points clear made Stat World very comfortable.

The Huddersfield fans are definitely saying it. Apparently they were terrible again today.

It's reached the point that on their forum they seem to be cheering for Newcastle today as they see Wednesday as a threat to their place in the playoffs.

You took your time, but you've finally got there.

Sometimes you just know when it's your time.

Even though it was looking close a few weeks back, with the players we've had this season I've always felt we were going up.

Now I want us to go one further and I think the players are capable if everyone gets 100% behind them in every game.

Only compared to the premature gang. As I said, the results could have gone the other way and we'd now be level having played a game more.

Huddersfield play Twice before us and if they win the both, then the pressure will be back on. I don't think we will get anything at Wolves, so by Easter Monday Huddersfield could be as little as 3 points behind( if they win their other game in hand)Still think that we will win our 2 remaining home games. It just depends where the other points will come from if Huddersfield do keep winning.

Doh!

There's a feeling of calm in the team that wasn't there last year. We're winning the games that last year we would have drawn in the last minute. This is our time. We've been the most consistent team in the league all season. We've ridden our luck at times, had some breaks, and compared to last season, been relatively lucky regarding injuries. I'm full of admiration for Chris Hughton, who has put this team together in 2 years that is strong, talented, and full of winners. We're so lucky to have him. On to the next game - let's win it.
