No deal will lead to a lower "cooperation in the fight against crime and terrorism"

Again, who does that hurt more? us or the EU?

It would hurt both. Nothing that dreadful organisation does should surprise us, but to threaten cooperation in something so basic is yet another reminder of how right we were to vote to leave the disgusting EU.

on the positive, if the EU will genuinely work for the interest of the remaining 440m EU citizens, there will be a mutually beneficial agreement. we'll see in the next two years if they are interested in the citizens of the EU or the political project of the EU.

My money would be on the latter. We voted for this, therefore it'll be dressed up as being our fault.

I think I will wait thanks.

James Dyson (Great British Engineering Legend) will develop a post EU vacuum cleaner capable of cleaning like no other vacuum cleaner before, I suspect he has already got a prototype lined up. He wanted out of the EU so we can make our country great gain too. Admittedly this vacuum cleaner will be manufactured in Malaysia, after he moved the manufacturing away from the UK (he does want to make our country great gain too, hones), but so be it, we have got our country back.

Thank God we voted out, the children will thank us.

Will be a limited market though, with it not meeting EU regs.

The only trouble with that figure is that about half of it is from outside the EU. People we HAVE control over. If our bloody government did something about that figure and people, we could've controlled it might not have been as bad as some people believe. Immigration was one of the biggest reasons people voted leave.

I can not really disagree, I do think the government now know the mood of the Leave voters, a tad late as you say.

Yes your interpretation was right. No the Commonwealth citizens didn't hold us back but helped us rebuild. Germany did build but was divided so only West Germany made any progress. Once the two Germanies were reunited, their growth took off. Unity will always benefit more than division.

West Germany being Capitalist and East Germany Communist had nothing to do with it of course...

Everning Standard - Pound Plummets against Euro after Article 50 triggered

http://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/p...ns-article-50-letter-triggering-a3501671.html

'The pound plummeted in the early hours of Wednesday after Theresa May signed the letter triggering Article 50, beginning the official process of leaving the EU.
Sterling fell against the euro from €1.151 to €1.145, although it began to make a recovery as the morning drew on.
It also dropped 0.49 per cent against the US dollar to $1.239.
By the time Theresa May had finished her address to Parliament this afternoon, the pound had lifted to €1.158.'

I think they meant it plummeted upwards

Yes assembling bits and pieces made all over the world probably has been outsourced but the clever stuff (R&D), employing thousands of highly paid workers, has stayed in the UK.

That doesn't chime with your version of events though does it?

Not the real one
Sterling holding, there is no news here. But... we must remember where Sterling was pre brexit. Some could argue that sterling was over valued against the Euro pre brexit but it wasn't against other currencies. 1.12usd under 10 HKG and only 1.23chf. very very low sterling.

.....and unfortunately, remoaner like, you resort to name-calling. Rather pathetic. However, I'm glad to say you are not spoiling my happy day at all.

:tosser:

'Remoaner'...and you call me pathetic.

I will continue to fight. It's not over. When details of the 'deal' and it's effects on people's lives in this country become more apparent, the turning tide will develop into a tsunami.

Never give up. It is my patriotic duty to campaign for what is best for my country. And leaving the UK is an act of national suicide.

I want my country back.
