Yes, this had crossed my mind too. Clutching at straws maybe but I am sure other player have come back quicker. Other times we perhaps would not risk it but if Duffy can play through a bit of pain to see us through the last few games I am sure he would, he is NAILS.

I would love to believe this, I really would. But I do recall Wayne Rooney having a similar injury many years ago prior to a World Cup tournament. He was rushed back after 6 weeks, and Alex Ferguson was furious that "his" player had been risked. In the event, as I recall, he was clearly not up to it, as was the case with David Beckham before that. I fear that it will be longer than 6 weeks, which probably what was meant by CH when he said at least 6 weeks. I really hope that I am wrong, but suspect that this is what will happen, sadly. He might be fit again in mid to late May or so for the . . . . .

Bit disappointed with the lightweight to be honest. I used to think he was the type to MTFU and get on with things.

I believe it will all depend on the break etc - each one seems different. Let not expect him back for 8 weeks and then anything extra is a bonus:

We were clinical on the counter on that occasion, I was more referring to when we're chasing the game. We do create alot of opportunities which often fizzle out without an attempt on goal, or sometimes without even a cross/ball played into the box.

My comment was not meant as a slight on yours..just feel Uwe will not recover to be the player he was when he joined.
It was a serious long term injury and his lack of game time has not helped.

Has Uwe stolen your wife or something? You've made numerous comments on 3/4 threads that you think he's been awful this season. He's played 2/3 games, it's pretty much impossible to tell whether he will 'fully recover' from his long injury unless you have watched him in training.

Do you mean against Fulham, Birmingham, and Sheff Weds ?

The two matches I think we must have Dunk is against Chris Wood and Cameron Jerome, only because physically they'll batter us.

I agree to a point, as I firmly believe we have enough attacking options to score more goals. But the issue remains Duffy is a big body and defensively sound as is Dunk, ANY team would miss them.

It's only natural to surmise .

Edit - obviously assuming Dunk does get booked.....
