Do we have recall on his loan though? To be honest, even if we do, we have better, and more established centre backs already in the squad.

It certainly doesn't say much for their abilities if we have to try and recall a player out on loan, and one who doesn't normally play centre back, to boot.

We dont have recall on any loans outside the transfer window

Liam Rosenior can play across the back four, so we can shuffle the right and left sided players, if necessary.

Like any player coming back from long term injury he looked woefully short of match fitness yesterday but as we all know he will come back as good as he was eventually and we need him in his best position not as a centre back except in an emergency.

A few mentions in this thread that Rosenior 'can play centre back'. Not wishing to doubt anybody, but has he EVER played in that position?

CH is going to have to be much more attacking as without Duffy we won't be keeping many clean sheets.

FWIW, I think where possible, the fit players should remain in their usual positions, with the replacements slotting into the vacant spots - it keeps the existing framework. Shuffling players around (such as Bruno to CB, with someone else coming in at RB) disrupts things even more.

Ok. So if you get a red for 2 bookings, the initial yellow doesn't count presumably? That's decent then. If he can cut out the stupid ones, might even last the season.
Yes, that is right.

Neither yellow counts towards the total if you get 2 in the same game.

I agree, which is why I said if necessary.

Why the delay from the club announcing the bad news about this injury? Dare we hope it's not as bad as the op suggested?

There's not a delay or anything unusual. The club will announce an update in todays pre- Rotherham press conference as is usually the case with injuries like this.
This will confirm or not the leaks or rumours posted on here. Expect something in a couple of hours.

Are you implying the club has previously always been forthcoming and 100% truthful about injuries?

I agree, but I suspect that the club will be somewhat vague and at best will just say he'll be out at least until the international break. They may not even say that and will want to keep Derby and Leeds guessing.

When's bong or poco back? We can cope if they both game back by the Derby game.

Bong is out for "the current set of games", whatever that means. I suspect it means he's out until after the international break.

Hughton will say "he's picked up a bit of a knock, we hope to have him back after the international break" then he'll be out for the season
