2 changes for Forest , Hemed for Murray and Rosenior for Knockaert. If needing a goal on 60 mins bring on Solly and AK. if not Kayal or Norwood.

You want to replace Knockaert for a player that a) isn't in his natural position (though yes he is good there) and b) hasn't played a match for months? Clueless.

They looked disappointed, not battered.

From about 75 minutes we couldn't even string 2 passes together. It was wave after wave of Newcastle attacks. They were totally knackered. That's my opinion but surely it's hard to argue against that.

I grant you we made errors, but look back and you'll see we did similar against Reading. It's something we need to stamp out. It's not about being battered.

If the players can't muster the energy and fight through those three games we don't deserve promotion. There's a very good reason not every team is in the Premiership.

There's only space for 20 teams?

Hemed starting with Baldock, March instead of Murphy. Will Rosenior be available for Saturday at least on the bench? Hope so.

Exactly this.

We were talking about this last night. Two away games where March and Hemed can feature. Murray and Murphy back to fitness for Derby.

They looked bloody furious. Both Duffy and Stockdale were bashing their firsts to the ground in fury when the 2nd goal went in.

Not really that unusual to see a side one goal behind have a lot of the play and put pressure on.. just about every one goal game I have ever watched, and played in. Doesn't mean that the players are knackered, just becoming more cautious as the knowledge of a mistake changes things - that becomes more extreme if you do concede.. Not sure why I'm replying, I think you know this too...

Apart from last night when we got a penalty from a corner. Which we scored.

In fact we scored a penalty, conceded in trying to stop Murray reaching a very well delivered corner, conceded by the keeper in repelling a brilliantly executed free-kick routine...

Not a good result, mistakes made, passes dropped, Knocky with too much Cola inside him.........etc etc etc. Our boys played themselves into a coma last night. They will be livid and come back stronger. I love this team!! Fear not bed-wetters, this is our year IMHO. :albion2:

Its All Too Beautiful
We're not spent, far from it but, there issues that need to be sorted by the management and coaching staff. Three times in the last month we have had serious issues with defending from corners with Murray and the goalkeeper. Are the keepers not shouting loud enough or is Murray not listening, their first goal was a direct result of our inability to clear from a corner when the only player challenging Murray was Stockdale, the coaching staff need to address this immediately as its been going on for too long.

HUghton also said in his post match 'quality' interview, where he mentioned Newcastle and quality more times than I can remember, that we would not be able to keep up the intensity of the first twenty minutes.Maybe we're not able to do that but surely we can do it for more than twenty minutes in a game as we have substitutes to bring on and they are all professional athletes. The defend tactics of Hughton once we took the lead were always doomed to be floored as we ceded momentum to Newcastle and failed to create serious chances and squandered the few opportunities we had, we could have won last night if we have seriously pressed for a second in the first half as we were head and shoulders above Newcastle in the opening quarter of the game.

Anyhow, we are still six points clear of Huddersfield, but the point to be made is that again, as after Christmas when we could have gone 13 points clear, we have missed an opportunity.
