So the guy has previous, including a 6 year ban 7 years ago...

Seems they don't like this guy at football... but imagine being banned from watching your team play for 9 years out of 10... harsh

EDIT: Just realised he was given a 6 year ban 5 years ago actually... how does that work - unless it was backdated, as surely he would still be banned?

Here's a picture of what he's been banned for...

Unless I'm reading that wrong, the chap was given a SIX year banning order, on 01.02.2012, so was presumably still subject to that, at the time of the Lincoln 'offence'?

It probably dates from the offence which was in 2010, rather than the date of the trial.

It does seem harsh, a 3 year ban and restriction on your movements for entering the playing area. Curtailing of over enthusiastic celebration was not really the purpose of this legislation.

Cantona got 120 hours community service from the magistrates, for entering the spectating area at Palace, also seemed harsh to me.

I still don't know why Cantona got banned from playing for the kick... He should've been given a fkin award!!!

Seems he was lucky to only get a 3 year ban as this is the minimum, assuming its the same person

That is a ridiculously over the top ruling. So he's unable to even go into Brighton when we're playing at home.

Be interested to see if similar rulings are meted out to the few Lincoln fans who got onto the pitch after their goals as well.

EDIT: Just read the previous sentence bit. Still seems a touch harsh but he should have known better. Am still curious if Lincoln fans will be punished as well.

It seems harsh, until you see that in 2012 this brain dead mug sheep served 15 months and was given a 6 year banning order from all football matches after having a punch-up with some Spurs fans.

I know the Rev and PPF will be nursing semi's at that, and will probably think this is all very snowflake, but personally I'm quite happy when the divs are kept away from the game.

Did he get the FSF involved? Sounds a bit off to me...

Very harsh given the number of people going on the pitch that day with no one else getting charged.

Okay having now seen his previous offence I take back my comments. He is an idiot and deserves to be banned, Once caught you should never have reason to do again, he needed to be whiter than white, he wasn't. Ban is fair enough.
