Next saying price rises of 5% due to higher import costs and Jamie Oliver closing a number if restaurants in part due to Brexit.

Its nit all plain sailing to the pot of gold at the end of the Brexit process. Although the pot of gold may always be on the horizon

Next are putting up prices and haven't realised yet that the reason their profits are down is because nobody wants their tatty rubbish.First High St casualty of 2017.Jamie Oliver .Still thinks people want food served on chopping boards.Bloke should look on social media,he might still have some customers then.#wewantplates

Jamie Oliver is closing those restaurants partly due to brexit ? Anybody who believes that is a congenital idiot , he is closing the one near where I work because it suffers from poor footfall and has a dreadful reputation amongst the local workforce for serving up piss poor food , thus nobody uses it, I don't doubt the others are the same , brexit is an excuse.

Probably wasn't getting enough customers through the door which is why they closed the restaurants. They are closing five restaurants, that's all. Poor excuse blaming it on brexit in my opinion. As for the increase on clothing, people won't stop shopping because of it.

Exactly. Just using brexit as an excuse. Pathetic really. Perhaps it's because his restaurants are overrated and nothing special. Jamie clearly an other dummy spitting remainer.

Not sure if your mention of only 5 is a fishing trip or not so will leave alone.

Yes people will shop but all adding to higher inflation

I'd estimate sometime around end of 2017/start of 2018.

And then the goalposts will be moved further. The longer this brexit blaming goes on, the more silly it sounds. It will have to stop sometime.

They won't. Another downturn will happen one day. They always do. It's life. Whenever it happens the idiots will blame Brexit. After all they know better. Don't they?

Actually it is 6 out of 42 restaurants. That sounds like more about bad business than brexit otherwise wouldn't they all close.

Spot on. You only have to read comments from customers to realise that his restaurants are poor.
Another desperate attempt to blame Brexit for a firms shortcomings.

A brilliant cop out for anybody looking to downsize/ put up prices. Lets face it prices have been suppressed for years due to the last downturn.

Exactly, some companies are just jumping on the Brexit bandwagon.....let's make a bigger profit, put up our prices and blame it on Brexit.
I have seen the Next owner interviewed, what a nasty piece of work he is.

Good news.

Theresa May snubs Marr.
It’s tradition that the Prime Minister kicks off the new year by giving a broadcast interview to the Andrew Marr show. However, this year Theresa May has decided to mix things up and snub the BBC in favour of Sky News. On Sunday, May will instead be interviewed by Sophy Ridge to kickstart Ridge’s new morning show:

This means that Marr now has to settle for Justine Greening and Nicola Sturgeon. Mr S’s BBC mole says the decision has gone down ‘like a cup of cold sick’ with the upper echelon of the Beeb.

In fairness to the everything served on a chopping board wally.
Its his CE who has made the claim about Brexit.

No doubt you are right the claim about Brexit is ballocks as he is just protecting his job and giving up excuses as to why said restaurants have failed. Ive walked past two of them a few times Richmond and the one near st pauls and im surprised how empty they are. Turd business plan springs to mind rather than brexit.
i mean seriously......a jamie oliver restaurant in Richmond..........thats the Richmond version of McDonalds FFS
