Alan Partridge.
How do people manage to laugh at such a deluded, insincere, tactless and largely talentless TV host has always been beyond me.
Also a bully, the way he treated his PA was disgusting and people laughed at this.
I was so pleased when he got 'found out' and demoted to a very early show on some backwater radio station in Norfolk, where he continued to upset all the locals, including farmers the Irish and his fellow DJ's.
This fool continued to embarrass himself on a daily basis to the extent that he did not even know what a cup of beans is.
Trying to fool people with 8 inch plates, embarrassing the elderly by suggesting that they clog up toilets with mashed up Dundee cake, stealing traffic cones, pretending to wash himself in front of a young girl with pretend small peices of soap, dressing up like a zombie by vandalising his hotel room and dismantling a trouser press.
The list is endless.
And apparently this man is popular.
Some people!

That Tony Ferrino guy is awful too. I see nothing funny about bigamy at Christmas.

Stewart Lee is brilliant. And yes, I do read the Guardian though I find the identity politics pish that they publish highly annoying.

I'll have to check out this Jeremy Hardy guy. Thanks for the recommendation.

I think Jeremy Hardy can be extremely funny. But then I also tend to think an awful lot can be blamed on that bitch Thatcher. So there you go.

I don't think it's possible to be called Russell and be a funny comedian. That's what science suggests to date, anyway.

I saw Russel Kane live at Komedia before he got on telly and he was genuinely brilliant. On television he was just awful.

I sometimes wonder if this explains some of the other rubbish comedians all over our screens. Perhaps Mrs Browns Boys was a actually a clever, satirical and downright hilarious stage show originally?

Noel Fielding, Bob Mortimer, Vic Reeves, nearly all of Monty Python, just overrated unfunny crap.

Sean Locke on the other hand, extremely underrated.
I saw Billy Connelly at the Carnegie Hall in Dunfermline in 1977, the funniest human being alive, at the time, but now? Give it up Billy, you peaked a long time ago.

I'm one of the few who doesn't find Vic Reeves at all funny.

Every female "comedian"

Does ventriloquism fall under comedy?
As in, saying / doing things to make people laugh?
That bird, Nina Conti, who puts face masks on two members of the audience and gets the talking to each other.
Thought that was bloody funny ...
She's quite fit too ....

Is James Corden a comedian? I thought he started out as an actor, a comedy actor in many things.

There's an awful lot of comedic actors in this thread, none of whom are comedians.

I'm quite touched to see I haven't been mentioned yet.
