Bin men can be notorious up in here in London, but fair play my recycle collectors always take away the repeated large packaging/boxes i have from bathroom kit and boilers from jobs. It's pretty obvious it's not generated all in my house, and i'd have to spend ages bagging it all up into the sacks they give us.
So long as i stack it fairly neatly against the main bins, it always goes.

So this year, i intend to give them a drink. :drink:

Milkman and postman get tips. Binmen used to when they collected my bins from the side of my house, now I have to put them and and put them back myself they don't.

We don't have a milkman, but agree with all else. Bung the postie a tenner, for being a cheerful chappie. And stopped tipping the bin men when they didn't take my bins because I'd left them on my drive (2ft from the road). And because over the past couple of years they appear to have taken on some strange sort of powerful persona, of "we're the guys that empty your bins, don't mess with us"!

My wife is a waitress and although she doesn't expect a tip, if your bill comes in at £19.10 and you give them a £20 note, just walk away and don't wait for your poxy 90p change.

I would almost be embarrassed leaving just 90p, either the service is terrible and I wait for my change (very very rare) or they get the obligatory minimum 10%
