Didn't enjoy that second half at all. Had a horrible feeling Leeds would get back into it, but I don't think Stockdale had a save to make all night. We weren't great this evening but we were much better than them and deserved to win. I was expecting a very tough game given their recent form and victory over Villa but they were very profligate in possession and a bit manic defensively.

Solid routine win - the stuff promotions are made of. We just made the 4th best team look like plodding mid to lower league standard.

Especially good seeing as the other 4 teams in the top 6 all play each other tomorrow. Would absolutely love 2 draws.

You try telling that to the W@nkers in the Sky commentary team. Sounded from their perspective we were a little lucky. FFS knobheads look at the stats re shots.

So a very relaxed Saturday, nice!

I hadn't thought about it that way. Thank you. Makes up a bit for the switch to Friday causing me to miss.

Thing is, to sky we will always be "plucky Brighton", batting above our average whilst the ex PL teams are the media darlings. Just the way it is, and every time we get a result like tonight it's two fingers up to them.

Wifes just reminded me..............Jimmy Bullard
I was at Burgess Hill vs Leatherhead a few weeks ago and they had a very yappy manager in a tight, shiny suit with flowing locks (but a bit of a spam). I thought there was something about him that was familiar and then it hit me - F**k me, it's Jimmy Bullard!

BTW I don't think he ever played for the West Ham senior team.

Last year, for comparison:

1 Brighton 20 +11 42
2 Middlesbrough 20 +17 40
3 Hull 20 +16 38
4 Derby 20 +15 38
5 Burnley 20 +7 35
6 Ipswich 20 +2 31
7 Cardiff 20 +4 30

Burnley were seven points behind us (similar to Reading now), but we were just about to enter a catastrophic injury period, and an 8 game losing run. I don't see that happening this time, and I don't think Reading are half as good as Burnley were last season.

Very happy with that tonight. Did all the basic stuff right, worked hard, rarely looked in any sort of trouble and the guys who came in (starters and subs) looked ready. (And Solly's back). Feels like we have another couple of gears as well.

What's not to like?

Peter Begrie talking absolute tosh...funny how his bias along with another ex Leeds player Prutton (who?!) makes their comments appear Leeds gave the game away rather than Brighton won it. Crickey, the Sky team are something else. Still, plucky lucky Brighton sit TOP of the League ahead of all the MASSIVE Yaaaawkshire clubs (that haven't been in the top flight for 12+ years now...LOL!)

Playing snooker

That CAN'T be right? ???

Newcastle are supposed to WALK this league by just turning up and everybody else is playing for 2nd place, so I keep reading.

Hopefully their FIVE defeats so far will be overturned by the Dubious Decisions panel and the mighty Geordies can resume their rightful place of 13 points clear with a game in hand. S'only right.
