Can someone explain the difference between-
"does your boyfriend know...."
and the chant to the Keeper
"Your sh*t aaaagggghhhh"
So one is Homophobic but is said in jest whilst one is a personal insult to the keeper.

One is mocking someone for their sexual preference whilst the other is a statement on someone's ability.

If it was "You're SHIT AAAAAAAGH because you're gay" then it'd be a problem.

Also, on the whole "Does your boyfriend" chant, I've often wondered how well it would be received if we were to have a banner at away games, or home games for that matter, stating

"Yes, our boyfriends, girlfriends, wives and husbands know we're here"
Lol! I like that. Personally I couldn't care less what colour or sexual orientation any of the fans are. The important thing is that they have the same aim as me, supporting the Albion.

'Does you boyfriend,' whilst at the very mildest of the homophobic abuse scale, quite clearly says there is something wrong with being gay or something incongruous with being gay and being at the football. The chant doesn't work without that insinuation.

If I were you, I would have spent my time trying to distance myself from my dribbling racist mate.

But that's just the sort of thing you'd expect from a whinging liberal lefty isn't it.

You're not me though , are you ? You're a whinging lefty who never has his convictions tested

If it's the same mutual friend as Thunder Bolt might be referencing, then that mutual friend was subject to some quite vile personal abuse at Withdean. That person is a very strong personality and a passionate Albion fan, but on one occasion I recall it reduced them to tears. They'd done absolutely nothing whatsoever to warrant it. Never fully realised what was going on at the time, thought it was just some random nutter or something, plus we'd just scored, so it all just sort of got thrown in the mix of the moment. Only later realised quite how devastatingly hurtful it had been.

Should have knocked the c*nt out at the time or ambushed him after the match.

Yes mate , that is bound to be the instinctive reaction of someone who bursts into tears when someone abuses them.

I don't mind if we're a load of gay boy sissys as long as we keep winning.

I didn't really appreciate how tough it is in Hayward's Heath, but now you've pointed it out
It isn't, that's why I moved here from London , but you knew that full well , you need to come up with something other than your tired stock in trade responses.
