In his post match interview today he openly questions his players' commitment. That, inevitably, will get an adverse reaction, so the players can make their point by showing who loses their job first, so it is now just a question of time.

Someone of his managerial experience should stick to the simple adage "praise in public, punish in private".

Shame, he was doing such a good job for us. But I have to say, I absolutely hate the smug egotistical out of his depth wanchor.

Dour, but a manager with a proven track record.

However, with the players they've got, they should not be where they are. Something is wrong there and loaning out a proven goalscorer in Chris Martin is a bizarre decision.

I don't get this proven track record thing with Pearson. Yes he got them promoted at the third attempt with a squad that was constructed with millions and millions of pounds and was by far the best in the league. The tinker man won the league with basically the same squad that Pearson scrapped survival with. He was shit at Southampton, shit at Hull and the fact that it took so long for a team to pick him up shows something isn't right with him.

Finally, I think he is an absolute bellend, with an action man haircut and an ego that could start an argument in a phone box.

And breath... :)

Been holding that in for a while

Ramstalk is interesting tonight. The consensus seems to be that he has a few more games to turn it round.

There is one joker though who thinks that Derby should be a mid-table Prem team occasionally challenging for Europe - I'll have what he's been drinking
To be fair to the joker, with the amount of money they've spent they probably should be.

Ha, spot on. Whenever I see him interviewed, he seems to be perpetually on the verge of exploding into an absolute rage- the contempt with which he looks at anyone unfortunate enough to have to ask him questions is quite startling. He strikes me as having a huge ego. I can't imagine how that would translate to his players in a positive manner.

Absolute weapon. Hope he stays though. He's doing a great job.

Even makes you wonder whether it was the player himself who engineered the move ???

I think Pearson is a bit of a strange man (see the ostrich comment), but I don't think he's a bad manager, he did a good job at Leicester in similar circumstances, and was probably only sacked because of something that doesn't have a lot to do with (LOUD COUGH) the on pitch performances.

Anyway I think something isn't quite right at Derby at the moment. Not just him.

I tend to agree there's clearly something inherently wrong within Derby County as a Club right now, not sure exactly what that is, I'm not even sure they know. But it's certainly not just Pearson or the players. The Club seems to be making one bad decision after another these days, especially since they sacked Clement last season for no apparent good reason.

If you ask me Chris Martin is one of the reasons their in the mess they are right now. As good as they've been in recent seasons everything regarding Derby's attacking options were all built around him. All their eggs in one basket so to speak, no Plan B. Once his form disappeared & now he's been loaned out there lost. Plus their recruitment over the last two seasons has been nothing short of shambolic to say the very least.

Splendid rant with more than a grain of truth to it.

This might have been the case and clearly no Plan B yet this season but why Pearson can't make some some Plans from his ludicrously expensive attacking shopping basket of : Johnny Russell, James Wilson, Darren Bent, Nick Blackman, Weimann, *and* Vydra is a pleasure to watch. (and a fair few wingers too)
