They are already calling it a sideways move in another thread.

Great isn't it, this to me is a bit of schadenfreude. Steve Coppell, Ingmarsson, Sidwell.

**** you Reading

Hopefully we can do the same to Norwich soon too

Vydra another CMS? Thrived in a very quick attacking team at Watford but not much since then ?

I'm on the fence re Vydra...his career seems to have stalled..maybe moving elsewhere and playing with better players could give it a kickstart

Looked pretty good against us at the Amex last season. If we'd gambled on the 2 million loan payment we might be playing in the Premier League...just another maybe

Same nationality as Skalak. We have pace and creativity in this side which would suit Vydra's style. Only 24. Worth a gamble surely for 1.5 million ?

He cost us our place in the premier league. 1-1, 90th min misses one on one away to boro. They go up other end and score to win 2-1.

Has potential for sure...seemed to lose confidence after his spell at WBA...scored 9 last season and by the players own admission things didn't go well

He's still young and has plenty of time to turn it around

Gutted to lose out on the Pritchard deal - another example of how the premier league parachute payments are destroying the level playing fields below.

Why are you lot so obsessed with parachute payments all of a sudden? They're not a new phenomenon. We've just sold Redmond for £11m. Are we not allowed to spend it?

And it could be argued that it's better to finance a club via success (promotions and tv money) than relying on a mega rich benefactor.

And you weren't backed by a rich benefactor. I find that hard to believe

It's not all of a sudden it's been a big problem for us ever since we rejoined the Championship. We cannot compete despite having one of the biggest average home attendances and non parachute income.

You have been rewarded for failure not success.

For what it's worth I've always been against parachute payments. They reward utter, miserable, embarrassing, dismal, woeful, awful, dire, disastrous, shocking, laughable failure.

Which is just bullshit. Frankly.

Not my money :)
..but 1.5 to buy is better than a 2 million loan

After the poor season he had last year there's no way Watford could get away charging that much again. He is now classed as a risky signing.
