I was born within 1.5 miles of the Goldstone. On a Wednesday in between home wins ....

Step off the train all alone at dawn, back into the hole where I was born.
(Couldn't resist, it is the first line from the Be Here Now album)

I was born in Southlands on a Saturday, and we lost 3 nil to Millwall. Funnily enough, "Should I Stay or Should I Go" by The Clash was number 1.

I was at that game. March 1991.

I was born 1.5 miles from the Goldstone a few weeks after we had won Division 3 South

I'm going to guess that you were born at Buckingham Road.

Spot on. Closed in 1971. Just read it was built for single mothers, originally! Many years later (1979) I rented a flat just on the other side of the Guildford road intersection. Took 2 months for the GPO to connect the phone . . . . happy days? I'd rather have my cellphone, and the AMEX of course :thumbsup:

I was born 13.5 miles from the Goldstone ground, two days before we lost 0-1 at 'Home' to Swansea at Gillingham.

I don't know that by heart, I just looked it all up :blush:

:moo::moo::moo::moo:.

Funnily enough, in many ways I think I'd rather still have my old fashioned party line telephone, and the Goldstone Ground.

Then again, maybe that's why my nickname is Disraeli.

Born Newhaven (home birth) beginning of August so no football but Albions first result of my lifetime was 2-1 win against QPR, start of a run of 5 consecutive wins. Hoping for the same this time round.
