But short terms loans are not longer available. 6 months or full season I believe.

We're all speculating (a common occurrence on discussion forums) but I refuse to be overly concerned about possibly missing one center back for one game. Whatever happens we have enough strength in depth, bar a freakish injury crisis, which we would then address.

I don't think anyone is. Last year we had Dunk, Goldson, Greer and the German on the books. We have lost Greer and replaced him with, by the clubs own admission, an initial DS signing and have two of the above injured and are unsure of the return. Surely to even match the strength in that area last year we need an experienced proven CB. As for Goldson not training with the first team since Tenerife and seen wearing a brace suggests more than a knock.

Fair enough, if we need cover for a longer period I imagine a 6-month loan will probably be brought in. Someone in the Aaron Hughes mould (from the 2014-15 season)

Didn't we have some sort of problem with a shortage of first choice CBs against Derby not so very long ago (about two tears)? Let's hope history doesn't repeat itself..............
