Peter Crouch says the players will really be hurting. I don't agree.

I am sure they are embarrassed - for a day, max. Hurting - no. I think playing for England is at best a nice boost to an already well inflated ego. As long as it goes well. When it doesn't they don't give a monkeys.

Posh end of Shoreham
The funiest thing to me at the end was our formation if we had of got a late equaliser
4-2-4
Just shows our clueless Hodgson is, 4 strikers on and just Wilshire & deli alli left in midfield
The whole evening was a shambles
Kane - out of form, starting
Sterling- out of form starting
Wilshire - out of form - coming of the bench at half time to change the game?
Taking Dier off and playing Rooney even deeper
Most embarrassing night ever as an England fan

And I bought some England car fresheners in the pound shop. I've only opened one and it didn't smell of anything, maybe a little scent of failure. It certainly didn't smell of lavender like it said it would. I am pissed off. On the upside, Roy has gone.

Absolutely, we won so many tournaments in the 20 years prior to Sky.

The problem is that England expect to win - that somehow it is preordained. It's not - you have to fight, you have to have a team mentality and you have to get stuck in.

In England you have 18 and 19 year olds signing five year contracts worth £50k a week or more. What incentive do that have to play for their country - or even bother their ar*e making the effort every Saturday (or Sunday if Sky want the fixture).

England struggled on many occasions before the Sky money - but the players always fought and played with pride. I haven't seen an England team play with real heart in 20 years.

Agree, for the first time ever not even that upset to be knocked out of a major tournament ........France would have beaten us easily anyway even if we scraped through......sitting in an empty pub which has always been heaving for England tournament games kind of sums it up...has there been a worst June ever all in all??

Roy - "They've been fantastic and have done everything asked of them."

Apart from avoiding suffering the 2nd worst defeat in English football history that is.

Germany, Italy and Spain have teenagers on £50k a week too, they manage to win tournaments.

Are you crying into your beer? :tantrum:

Not at all, I just don't need a gloating Irishman telling us how all of Ireland was supporting Iceland.

I stand by what I said-why doesn't he shut the hell up and fvck off?
