I'm 17, and fear for my future. I've being ****ed over by are large number of careless older people who will not be around to see the consequences of what they have done. The nation has being duped and lied to by a racist and a power hungry buffoon. Farage has already gone back on one of the biggest lies of the campaign and far too many were racially motivated in their voting. Brilliant words from Kipling sums it up perfectly...

I could not dig; I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

36% turnout from 18-24s, blame them. If they'd turned up to vote, remain would've won.

Farage never even said the £350 million to the NHS line (Gove did), and he would be in no position to promise said money anyway. But don't let the facts get in the way of you pissing the bed.

After the debacle of Brexit, you will forgive me for saying, that l am currently feeling very ashamed for my fellow countrymen, for we know not the enormity of what we have just done, and seemingly, with so many threads on here having more and more of a right wing bias, I have decided to restrict my posts, to just football related threads.

Will the last one out please switch off the lights.

Thank you.

Your last ever non football related post gave me a good chuckle. Go and have a lie down. The sun will still rise tomorrow morning.

Do you mean you've been ***ed over by people who are 18 and over? They're called voters. You'll be one next birthday.

If, as a voter, you vote for the likes of BJ or Farage, then you get exactly what you deserve. Even if you'd rather the other side won, you have to suck it up and live with it. It's called democracy. It's not perfect by any means, but the alternatives are far worse.

I'm referring to the voters 65 and over, who heavily favoured Brexit and showed very little concern for the younger generation. Side note-areas of the UK with the highest amount of immigration showed more support for remaining, whereas those living in areas with low immigration voted to leave-odd.
As well as this, reports showed the higher level of education voters received, the more they voted to remain-with 70% of voters who left school with no qualifications voted to leave, and the majority of people with degrees voted in favour of staying

If that was the only reason people voted out, then I'm with you all the way. If there were possibly other reasons, then you are talking shite.

Sadly-that was the prevailing one. Immigration was the biggest issue for the majority of voters, despite the facts that have only transpired after the result.

When the result came in I was extremely embarassed and ashamed of our country, that we first believed the blatant lies of Farage and that many were motivated at all by racist and prejudiced views. I fear for my future yes-I don't want to live in a future of racial hatred and narrow-minded anti-foreigner mentality.

Embarrassed and ashamed, really? I don't for one moment believe that 52% of people voted out because they are racist or prejudiced.

So you're basically blaming EVERYONE, whatever their demographic, who didn't vote the way you would have preferred? Blimey! Better have another referendum, and keep on having them, until you get the 'right' result.

I maybe older however I'm not planning on snuffing it just yet being only 48. We live in a free country where a free vote has allowed us to make our own decisions. That vast numbers, especially the youngest eligible ones chose not to, is again their choice. Don't blame those that decided to but perhaps question the ones especially those close to your age why they didn't feel it necessary if it was so important to the young.

Also just a thought the Labour party have always targeted the youth because their ideals always appeal. However as they mature in years they realise there just that ,ideals, and change their political views. May I suggest the same with Europe.

Finally going back to those that didn't vote, people your age fought to keep our nation free and for us collectively to make decisions. If the result is not of your liking accept it and appreciate you/we a least had the choice. Many will never have it.

This isn't a party thing.

We need serious UK electoral reform. The first-past-the-post system doesn't work and this has been highlighted by the deep divisions across the political spectrum. We need to seriously consider proportional representation to reflect the electorate accurately.

I hope you voted for a change, in the referendum that most people did not notice, the Alternative Vote.

Dream on.

I don't think it will happen but it's not impossible. Nothing seems impossible at the moment.

But if the tories did lose the next election, Boris or whoever else becomes leader and therefore PM before the election my well have activated article 50. Then we could end up with a Government elected on a stay in the EU manifesto when we've already given notice we would leave.

Would the EU then tear up our resignation letter?

So many possible outcomes. I for one will be bloody glad when the football season astarts again.

I'd be worried about the future if your a representation of it.

Wet blanket.

Be thankful that people with experience who rebuilt this country after a world war and have proper life experience have taken this decision.

I'm sure your 17 years ''life experience'' of hand shandy's when your mums out, popping zits in the mirror and shopping for skinny jeans doesn't really qualify you to decide what's right for this country and its future I'm afraid.

Those over 65's are the ones that fought to give future generations the right to vote, instead of being taken over by a dictatorship, like the Moreno day European Union if you like.
Personally I find it disrespectful to blame the over 65's, of which I am not one by the way, the biggest problem is that, nobody trusted the remain or leave argument if truth be known, so the older generation, not just over 65's, trusted what they knew before the Eurocrats tried to rule.
I have one question really, in 30 or 40 years time when there is a referendum for GB to enter the eurozone, how many people will vote in favour? Bearing in mind that that generation will have the Benefit of knowing what it is like to be inside and outside the eurozone, something the "older" generation didn't have when the first vote to join came round.
