I would consider being a remainer if EU citizens could bring their spouses to this country if they earned say £35000 per year upwards, the current £18600 is far too low....it for me is all about freedom of movement of people and immigration..
My friend, who is English and lived here for 30 years, ended up living in Thailand. He married a Thai lady 4 years ago, and has been living there since. He now wants to move back here, but he can't bring his wife until he earns at least £18.6k.

It bugs me that someone from the EU can live here, but an Englishman, in a genuine marriage, cannot bring his wife to live with him here.

That is unfortunate and is as unfortunate as an Englishman seeking a £18600 per annual salary job only to find they are taken by EU migrant workers..

Don't you agree then drew? LOL

Your post intimated that you agreed that Remain were the worse. I don't agree that Remain have lied more than Leave so no, I don't agree.

We know we don't pay £350m a week to the EU but the leaders of Leave still peddle that crap.

They also state Turkey 'is' joining the EU. They aren't. They might want to but they are light years from reaching all the criteria necessary and may never bearing in mind Cyprus can veto them.

Neither side comes out smelling of roses but in my view the actual factual lies are from Leave!

I think a debate like this brings out the worst - so much is at stake.

You are obviously a reasonable person, and I mean this genuinely, but how do you feel about Cameron claiming he can control immigration?

You are correct, the rebate is a discount, "money off" the "full price". & technically the EU does not say "You must spend your rebate on XYZ". But, after recieving our "generous" discount - we, seperately, also get instructions (requirements) on how to spend an equivilant sum of money, and if we don't spend that money how we are told we will be fined.

They "give" with one hand, and take with the other.

The total controlled by the EU is 350M a week (see table 9.9 of the ONS Pink Book 2014). Just because it isn't all "sent" to the EU does not mean they don't control it. Focusing on what is actually "sent" is playing semantics.

Where in the spreadsheet does it say that it is controlled by the EU? Not even Farage believes the EU control what we do with the rebate!

Well Boris and Gove are all out in favour of Greek and Latin being taught mandatory in all schools (I imagine they feel it hasn't harmed them). Lets be careful when we start expelling foreign language speakers we don't confuse them with the real thing.
