Feeling despair and rage and depressed in equal measure. The sense is that this is now over. We have a slim chance Monday but with injuries and suspension still a factor my belief is shot to pieces. Our luck has been dreadful but in truth, our last three games have been poor (Derby first half an exception). The team that made it all the way to the Premier League threshold went and tripped over it.
But I've got a ticket for Monday. Odder things have happened in the past. And even if they don't then BALLS! It's been an amazing season. Quite how we didn't finish the job we will never know but I want to be there to shout and scream and sing for the team and thank them for one of the best seasons I can ever remember. Whether or not we will be able to push on and get to the Premier League in the future I have no idea. When I became a Brighton supporter that was never part of the deal. If it had been I wouldn't have been at Hereford, or marching, or writing letters or badgering John Prescott when our paths crossed. Sod it all. It's my team. It's our team. For better for worse I bloody love the club and we'll all be back next year for more sodding gut wrenching fury.

Can anyone see us turning up and giving a performance on Monday? Trying a bit of reverse psychology here in the hope this is bounced but seriously, injuries aside. We go out there with a fully fit 11 on Monday, I just don't see us turning up as we need to.
