ridiculous, he was quality under Garcia sadly this year his opportunities this season were limited under CH, he has a big future but doesn't fit into a four man more midfield.

I do not agree that he was quality under Garcia perhaps better described as improving but has gone backwards rather than progressed as he has got older. I would think he will finish up at Southend or Gillingham or similar. Better judges than any of us decided he wasnt destined for the top but then again even they make mistakes.

I wouldn't tak it too seriously, it's only BG, a man who's opinions are at best "eccentric".

Some people haven't got a clue when it comes to spotting ability in a player. Very sad.

To be fair to those above, I did a bit of spotting of his ability over the last 3 seasons, there wasn't much on offer. It's our inability to recognise this that almost got us relegated. Easy to blame the loans ofc.

He came on a couple of times this season to pack the middle, and every time he got the ball I cringed in trepidation. One of them costing 2 points at derby.

Don't wish to be harsh on the lad, I very much hope i'm wrong but I just can't see it.

We didnt do badly I was there under Allan Mullery through to Micky Adams 1st time. They all valued my imput although times have changed and so has the game and possibly my views on players with age.

I shall not lose any sleep over what people think.

Well if you've been scouting his talent and you think he's rubbish, then that's got to be the case.

You should've sent your scouting report over to Fulham before they took him on loan. Maybe there's a job there for you...

Reading the Fulham web site stats he played 90 mins on 6 times and was either taken off or sent on in 5 games.

The point is that it doesnt really matter what we think as it is only our individual opinion and for discussion.

Showed glimpes of potential (e.g. v Arsenal, marking Sanchez). Definitely an athlete with strength and a bit of speed and stamina. Telegraphs his passes and very right footed which because of his strength is not a fatal limitation. Does not appear to be a bright spark = football intelligence. Never suited to the starred position of 4-1*-4-1 (like Bridcutt) because I think 4-1-4-1 is a flawed system.

His athleticism would be more suited to a box-to-box midfielder in a 4-3-3, but probably not good at Championship level for that. 4-3-3 will probably not be valid at Premier League level for clubs like the Albion. Under the tutelage of Bruno he might make a good right back ??? Lacks composure on the ball and even seems panic stricken to get rid of it in case he gets caught in possession. His record of getting caught in possession is no worse than Crofts for example.

Not even going to rise to this. I was responding tongue-in-cheek to a blanket statement.

So to continue the theme.. I submitted my report to Chris instead and he sent him off on loan.

Ince needs a long run of games and sadly (in one way) that will never happen here as he is below our level. At least he has some potential and upside though as Crofts used to be good but the couple times this season seen him he's been woeful and think can only be on the slide. JFC is similar to Ince but actually has begun to develop. It's a shame we don't have a 'B' side playing Div2-Div1 football and have them as a pairing with one other youngster. They both suit the 3 in the centre model but our starters suit 4-4-2

How to fix that 'problem' is what people are paid a lot of money to do

Have we?

This squad didn't come cheap.
The player budget will be considerably higher than Oscar's £20m & Sami's £23m (why was Sami so shite with a like for like budget decrease and an asset stripped squad?)

We know there will be serious offers for the best players and, if it's playing Championship football next season, the club can't guarantee keeping them
Recent history has shown with such a massive debt we can't guarantee (and have absolutely no right to) that that money, and more, will be reinvested back into the squad.

Sure JFC, Ince & O'Grady are unlikely to be wearing the stripes next season.
But I won't be so certain the next lot in will maintain the current trajectory.

I think you've been misled about the concept of "tongue-in-cheek" humour. Don't worry about it though, that job of scouting players alongside BensGrandad will pay well enough that you won't be judged on your wacky sense of humour.

As a holding midfielder sitting in front of the defence then maybe, but when subbed on this season he didn't really perform and made one big mistake away to Derby. Playing in that position for Fulham he seems to have come on a bit but under Hughton I don't think he really has a future here, he's under contract for a while though so that may change but I imagine he'll be loaned out again next season.

Fulham needed a defensive midfielder. They were shipping goals and struggling against relegation. That maybe his forte but in a side who are mostly on the front foot and chasing promotion he offers very little. The lad looks the part and I can see why some people rate him but he flatters to deceive.

I think Rosenior and Sidwell will both be in the team tonight with Murphy on the bench. I just have the feeling he will go out for the 0-0 and try and get them back to the Amex all square and then go for the game on Monday.

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
He clears it , he sprints it , he volley's it , and he scores , yup absolute dross is our Rohan .

Nobody has said he is dross. JFC got the goal of the season two years ago.
What we need is consistency and he cannot produce goals like that consistently, nor play to the standard we need consistently.

You mean like Dunk, who never has a bad game, Stockdale, who never slips up, or Hemed, who never misses. What he can't do is play centre mid as well as Stephens or Kayal, yet.
