Anthony Pilkington has been a thorn in the side of the Brighton defence all afternoon and he draws a foul from Connor Goldson in the box.

It's a clear penalty. A chance to put the game to bed for Peter Whittingham.

I thought Pilkington changed direction and ran straight into Goldson, who couldn't get out of the way - it wasn't as if he was trying to take the ball with him, just charged into Goldson.

Diabolical first half in which we gifted them 3 goals, improved after HT when Sidwell and Calde were deservedly subbed, then gave away the pen to finish ourselves off..

Agreed the injuries have taken their toll and he shouldn't be anywhere near a starting 11 when we've got a bench like today's.
