They're different teams, coming from different places. In different ways, both of their styles of management and tactical choices have been excellent for us considering our circumstances, even if we as fans haven't always appreciated their choices.

I'm not going to knock Poyet for the job he did here as it was genuinely excellent, all things considered, allowing for where we were at the time. He also gave us Vicente and Bruno, and the team he built controlled games excellently because of the signings he made.

Hughton has come in, steadied the ship last year and made some fantastic signings since which he's used to build into a very productive team, and he's built a squad that has strength in depth. At times his football is dire, he often makes some strange tactical decisions which don't come off and he's such a pragmatic manager, but he's likely to get us up within the next couple of years with the style he has because he's built a team that has a good quality of player that can grind out results, even when it isn't pretty - he undoubtedly deserves praise for that.

Basically, they've both done great jobs under very different circumstances.

Forget the team that STARTED last night or any of Poyet's teams. This team of current Albion non-starters would beat them all!

Lets make it an Albion owned team and replace Wilson with Baldock and Sidwell with Ince and you still have a very strong team

Poyets team was better to watch.
Hughton is more tactically aware. Therefore more likely to get promotion.
If it's about getting promotion then Hughton, if it's about watching flair filled football then Poyet.

Hughton.

Really? The first half of this season had some great games. Poyet's game was more aimed at possession and passing the ball around. How many times did we see El Abd and Greer exchange consecutive passes.

Apart from the xmas blip, this team is far more exciting to watch than Poyet's.

Great strength in depth! Ince would obviously have to compete with Towell, JFC & Holla for that starting berth though!

The only player I would want from Poyet's team in our team now is Ulloa.

I profer watching this team, as more exciting. It would of been interesting if poyet let his team break away a bit more . Rather than pass the ball around the back 4 , whilst the oposition got back into there positions. He had the players to do it

The current team would bully Poyet's team to defeat imo, we didn't have enough players with fire in the bellies under Poyet.

Sorry, but a completely uneccessary post like that leaves me wondering who is the moron?

The moron is the person who can't get the manager's name right after more than a year at the helm when it's plastered all over the forum every day.
I don't bother about your inability to spell unnecessary but it really is stupid of the OP not to be able to spell Hughton. Don't you think?
