I think that March's first half was the most complete half by any of our players in the Amex era. Buckley against Ipswich in the "bannergate" game is the only other one that comes to mind.

I would be interested to read some of the chat from the Brummie fans as I thought, for 75% of the game! we played them off the park

Registered with BCFC forum this morning to see what the general impression was. The forum is crap and not worth the effort.

Sat in Block H of the North for the first time yesterday so was treated to the Bruno and Solly show in the second half. Some of the curling passes Bruno was making for Solly to run on to were incredible. One minute you're thinking "He's knocked it out silly bugger" next you're going "BLOODY HELL HOW DID HE MAKE IT DO THAT!!".

Took my future son-in-law as a Birthday treat (he's a Man U (by choice)/Northampton (by birth) fan and he know's his stuff when it comes to the beautiful game. He was majorly impressed and my pre-match -'please don't mess this up Albion' nerves were well and truly quashed.

He's turning......

"They are a good side and although this was an entertaining contest, the home side were just that much better than us. Blues did not play badly, far from it but we got done by a better side on the day. Blues will play less well than this and win this season."

Was it? In my defence, I had a lot of cider yesterday and no food.

Regardless it was superb.

I thought it went round him. FLAIR.

Bruno is a fabulous footballer. 35 years old (but I bet he's still one of the fittest players we have), and he's having a brilliant season. We have some talented players, but I'm not sure any of them can match him for pure technique.

I LOVE Bruno this season. Even when he has a mad moment

I agree. Bruno is very often the finest player on the pitch. His level of skill is something else for a defender.

http://www.11v11.com/teams/brighton-and-hove-albion/tab/matches/season/1979

Steele/Moseley 7 Stockdale 6.5
Cattlin 6.5 Bruno 7.5
Rollings 6.5 Dunk 7
Lawrenson 9.5 Greer 7
Williams 7.5 Bong 6.5
Horton 7.5 Kayal 8
Clark 6 Stephens 8
Ryan 6.5 March/Murphy 7
O'Sullivan 8 LuaLua 7.5
Ward 8 Wilson 7.5
Maybank 5.5 Hemed 6

Players

78.5 v 78.5

Ahead of third place on goal difference. Look like we are on for the autos by the thinnest of margins.

But just imagine a combination of the two:

Stockdale
Bruno, Greer, Lawrenson, Williams
March, Kayal, Horton, Ryan
Ward, Zamora
Subs: Moseley, Rosenior, Dunk, O'Sullivan, Stephens, Murphy, LuaLua

Regardless it was superb.

Just from seeing it live first time, I was sure he played it one side of the defender, and ran round the other side,

I thought we were real class yesterday.

Nice to see Stockers Technical Passing getting a lot of praise. I am often being told his kicking is no good. Which is complete rubbish. How he drills his drop kicks low and hard and 95% of the time to its intended target is a really difficult skill to master.

In the warm-ups he goes through a routine of returning the ball volleying it out of his hand. It is very impressive.

Decent enough match report, and his ratings for us are ok, but Brock-Madsen a 7 ? He was awful.

Yep, thought he was hopeless. Some Blues fan in the pub after told us he's only 19, so perhaps he might improve. But he reminded me of so many dreadful strikers we've endured over the years.

Somewhat ironically he has the name of a porn star but is completely inadequate in the box.

I totally by accident punched someone in the face when they asked me to lift my arms on the search, I did apologise but giggled like a girl!

Did the same thing to a female bouncer once - true story... Didn't even know she was there.

I can't be 100% sure but I think I heard Kayal WHISPER into the ear of that poor Blues defender "buy us a programme on the way back in" after he sent him outside to buy a HOTDOG.
