Worthing
Bought a next gen console (won't say which to avoid fanboy-isms) for the sole purpose of playing this game. Played through New Vegas and its DLC to 100% completion (again) in anticipation. I fully expect my assignment marks at uni to detiriorate with the release of this game.

Going to New York on holiday tomorrow and I'm actually a little bit annoyed by it.

Which console did you get?

I'm on Xbox One if you want a game of Fifa at some point?

I am on Xbox, if you must insist on blowing my impartial cover; Jdawwggydawwg is my handle.

I do have Fifa, but almost exclusively play Battlfield 4, that is, until;

Uncharted 4 looks decent too. Wish I was 10-15 years younger and had all that spare time to play games again.

Have you ever seen Dara O'Briain's skit on combat-based video games? That's me. Has always been me since an early single-player CoD (I think) on PC (D-Day to Berlin), which I pwned. Currently, I've got the latest CoD on PS4 - I can't get anywhere on it. I need a level suitable for 4-year olds, I think. I've got this Alien game too. Can't play that either. Not because it's too hard. No, it's because I've not got far enough into it to find out; I'm too scared I'm going to run into the Alien to play it too far. My PS4 has been a total waste of money. Except - except, I did beat my gf at FIFA 14 7-0 (Albion v Derby) last time we played. Scenes. She was utterly thrilled.

Alien Isolation? Not played it but it falls into the 'survivalist' genre (e.g. The Last of Us) which sees you as very much up against it. It's a stark contrast to other games which allow you a plethora of weapons and ammo/health. Some of the Deadspace games can be a bit like this, downright scary at points.

Yep, that's the one. Totally terrifying. I've found that exploring every nook and cranny multiple times in a known safe zone doesn't exactly progress the story line much - but it does mean I don't risk seeing the protagonist. It has to be said that I don't deal with horror films well either. I have no idea why I bought the bloody game!

I've not got time to play it until Friday *weeps*, so without any sort of spoilers (if you can); first impressions?

In a nutshell, it's Fallout 3 - In Boston.
I've played around 4-5 hours and I've just about got started (arrived in Diamond City).

Some people might be disappointed with the graphics.

It's a tough game imo. I barely died in Fallout's 3 and NV.
I've gone off the main path in 4 and have died at least 10 times. Maybe the places I'm going are meant to be explored at a higher level, but there's no way of knowing whether I'm not supposed to be there yet or if I'm just crap!

In all honesty, I was frustrated and bored for the first few hours. However, most reviews also said the same, and advised to push through it until you get to Diamond City and then the game truly begins.

So I'll see how I get on tonight, but I can't wait to get back on it!

Anyone got to the grips with new perks/SPECIAL system yet? That chart thing is confusing the hell out of me.
