Assuming it will be POTG?

I asked the club on Twitter but I have not heard. I finallu managed to convince the wife that it is an acceptable activity for me on our anniversary (she does not like football so it is a great achievement)

My son, who incidentally is based at Warwick University phoned the club yesterday, and ordered his ticket to collect at Walsall. They'll be plenty of room, we'd only sold about 200 tickets.

Cheers. I am Warwick so will call the club tomorrow.

I know we play a different team in these League Cup ties, but surprised how many assume we'll play a different formation too. Any reason why CH would change from 442?

I think we had 9 changes at Southend :lolol:
The formation change most suggest is simply because we only have COG in reserve at the moment - hence 1 up front being the most likely formation although if Murphy plays it gives us a 4-4-2 option but with only one natural winger (March) in the midfield.

Because we've only got 3 strikers fit, and if we want to rest Baldock and Hemed, we are only left with COG.

Colunga is not an option in my opinion as we are too keen on shipping him out, and won't risk an injury to prevent that.

Fair point. Hope we don't rest too many though - it is easy to underestimate the morale-boosting effect of a good cup run. Imagine how sick we'd feel if it was Walsall drawing ManU or Citeh in the next round. For me:
Maenpaa
Rosenior; Rea; Hunemeir; Bong
Calde; Ince; Stephens or Kayal; Murphy
Baldock (or a youngster); O'Gravy

No to 4-4-2 and hope that JFC, Ince and Rae start

The real problem is that a Ince-Holla-JFC midfield just doesn't work, and we'll get the usual grim performance we always get with these 3 together, if we try this.

I just hope Crofts is fit enough to provide an alternative.

Saturday is too important to risk injuries and fatigue. I'd play Chicksen on the left cos Bong is starting to look a key player for us.
