Yep most definitely was. Favourite first hand witnessed goals of his were at home v Halifax. Van Basten-esque. And away v Bury - chip on the run.

Such a good tonic for the club.

Yes that amazing strike at home, couldn't remember who the schmuckos were we were playing (Halifax). It was poignant for me as I remember halifax killing us at 'home' at Gillingham a few years earlier, gleeful and laughing. How times change.

He had his pissy moments though. Remember him getting the red away at Sunderland? And his sulky performance away ay Stoke (the worst away venue IMHO, when it rains . . .).

I was there when he came in on a loan and I was there through rain, wind, sleet, chill winds and some glorious sunny days too when he signed and played as an Albion player...pure class and well worth going to the Withdean to watch him. To be fair I was there at the Goldstone ground when Wardy arrived and was in his heyday, same thrill watching both of them play for us in different eras, these type of top-class players don't come around too often at our level.

I was there too for all his Withdean years. Last seat in G Block on the aisle next to H block. Up near the back around a Row T I think. I remember Krispies away to my left a few rows down in H. Block. I bumped into Superphil at many a match home and away.

You could tell Zamora was clearly destined for the top from the moment you saw him play. A stunning player and true Albion legend.

My favourite Zamora memory was at London Road. If you were there you will not need reminding.

It was like the 'where were you when Kennedy was shot ' moment. I was actually standing at the urinal.

Yep. A 10 year old STH in D block.

Zamora, Gary Hart, Kuipers, ( oh and Kerry Mayo hoofing the ball down the line every 60 seconds) are my first memories of supporting the club.
