More interested and encouraged than excited. Once we sign a creative forward or midfielder with pace, which I'm sure we will, I'll be excited.

I'll start getting excited when we start signing some exciting players. Other than Lua Lua on occasions, I can't think of anyone we've got that is capable of getting fans off their seats or creating a goal out of nothing.

Oh, I don't know about that. I'd add Stockdale to Kaz.

The signs are good, but we need another 1-2 strikers and to sort out the COG and Colunga situations.

Interested in who the Tex replacement will be.

And we need a central defender and 1-2 wingers as well.

Are people deliberately not reading what I wrote? I acknowledged it's a ridiculous feeling. I've said it will end in tears. At no point did I say we would win the frigging league.

Anyone else want to misread it?

People struggle to read the thread title, let alone the whole of the OP.
Anyway in answer to your question:
People who say "can I get a coffee" :tosser:

Hopeful that it might be Tex himself.

It wont be, my guess would be that if Liverpool want to loan him out again it will be to a club in the Premier League in order to move him to the next level of his development.

I never get too excited about the football season as this is my favourite time of year; long summer days, music festivals, Wimbledon an Ashes series starting soon and county championship games still at Hove.

Football is a great way to fill time in the winter but I'd much rather have 12 months of this, maybe with a World Cup thrown in for balance.

4 signings short.

Pacey centre back (2 if dunk goes)
Pacey striker
Winger
Attacking centre mid

Then we have a good squad.

I'm beginning to get excited, simply because the three signings we've made appear to be clever signings who have been tracked for months/ years. A couple more, and maybe a 'big name' signing should help. Prediction: Solid mid table, 14th

Encouraged yes, excited no not yet we still lack pace, what excites me is end to end football with skill mixed in at the moment we still have the same attacking players that took 3 weeks to get 1 in the opponents area. Pace will excite me.

I think encouraged ...work in progress and lets face it no matter who we sign its going to be another tough season in the Championship

Encouraged was the word I was toying with. There's still a way to go, but it seems a very solid start.

Not starting the season with Sammi Hyppia is quite exciting as far as im concerned. Was underwhelmed when he joined. Much more hopeful this season.

I am swinging between a deep sense of foreboding and fair degree of optimism.

I'm not sure why, but I really don't think Hughton is the man to take us forward.

Recruitment certainly seems to be going better this year. We still need some creativity either wide or in a central attacking role
(both would be nice) and more depth at centre back.

The iranian Winger and a Pacey 2 million quid quality striker and I am full on full of optimism.

In total we need

A keeper
2 Centre Backs ( We have lost Hughes and Halford )
2 Wingers ( Pace )
1 Striker
