Not at all deluded. I wasnt drunk. I wasnt obnoxious. Im not a member of any far left group. sorry to disappoint you.

So you did not say anything contentious, inflammatory or insulting at the MFE marchers?

I'll be having a nice real ale (or cider) later to celebrate the day with later. I would like a bit of Roast Beef prior but won't have time.

Happy St George's day all.

But you are not a Brighton resident are you Dave?

You flew in especially to cause a confrontation.

No, I fly in every April and October to visit my aging mother, however, there where 1500-2000 people in the counter demonstration, and the vast majority of them were Brighton residents, and not far left. ..no matter how you want to change history..... cause a confrontation? You do know that counter protest is a democratic ideal? Dont you agree with it, or do you prefer the fascist type of politics?

If 'EDL off our streets' is contentiious, inflammatory or insulting, then youre correct. It was mostly a fun day, particularly when the trombone started playing.
I did ask Paul Pitt if he realised that a dry cleaners would help him with his filthy coat. Maybe I shouldnt have.

Nothing wrong with celebrating your Englishness. The reason why a lot of folk shy of this day is because for many it is about the hatred of foreigners.

Patriotism good, nationalism bad.

Here
The way I understand it St George was one of the greatest Christian martyrs in the then pagan Roman army that ruled over most of Europe. He was born in Syria, his father was an official in the Roman army and a secret Christian. His mother was also a Christian. He was ordered to denounce his Christianity by his superior and refused. He was put to death. There is a myth that was started in the Eastern Orthodox tradition that St George slayed a dragon as part of the fighting during the crusades.

Am I way off?

Of course its a repeat type post. Its what happened on the day. Im sorry, im not a time lord. I cant change what happened, so that you can enjoy a variation in the posts on the matter.

I meant the whole post should have been ignored, including the part where I quoted you, in hindsight I should have just deleted the quote.

Anyway, back to the issue. So, no swearing from you, no accusations of facism, no gestures (wanker signs, throat slitting, beckoning over) etc etc?

Not really...I took the piss... some wanker signs for sure, but in the cases of these mongrols. Apt and mostly in response..... throat slitting? Whats wrong with you??
AGAIN...the vast majority of the counter demonstration was peaceful, and local. If you had been there, you wouldnt be asking tbh...you would have seen with your own eyes.
Why you would want to define a counter demonstration by mostly Brighton people as the hard left is a bit of a mystery to me.

So taking the piss(no doubt includes plenty of profanity), wanker signs (whether in response or not), I meant throat slitting gestures by the way, probably 'calling it on' by hand gestures, all whilst in a noisy group of mostly face covered, black clothed counter protesters doesn't count as obnoxious behaviour?

Didnt call 'anything on'......AGAIN..the VAST majority were not face covered, or indeed black clothed. Where have you seen evidence to the contrary? I think thats how you WANT it to have been, but im sorry to disappoint you. It wasnt. Where you there?

I see Lord Haw-Haw stayed up all night just to jump on this thread as soon as it appeared

I had a busy day planned hence my early rise. Personally I am saving myself for EU Day, on May 9th.

No big deal, think you need to man up a bit if this upsets you.
