Chris Ramsey at present? Been given the QPR job until the end of the Season.

I thought this was a bit harsh from the BBC:

"On Tuesday QPR chairman Tony Fernandes said he had got his "dream manager" to replace 67-year-old Redknapp.
It is not clear if he was referring to Ramsey, or a subsequent appointment. "

Andy Crosby is currently the assistant of a certain Mr Adkins. He's obviously not sat in the big chair yet but I would suggest it's only a matter of time...

Management[edit]
After his time at Liverpool, he was appointed Oxford United manager in 1988. His time at the club was frustrating and he resigned after star striker Dean Saunders was sold by the board of directors, without Lawrenson's approval.[5]

Over that winter, he made a brief playing comeback in the GM Vauxhall Conference, making two appearances for Barnet.

Lawrenson also managed Peterborough United from 6 September 1989 until 9 November 1990. However, his spell in charge was mostly unsuccessful, even though he was popular amongst the younger players.

Bit of a coincidence bearing in mind Mullery resigned due to Lawrenson being sold without his approval. Believe he had agreed a deal with Man Utd and Bamber sold him to Liverpool.

As for other manages, Steve Burtenshaw was, I believe, manager of QPR for a year as well as spells as manager of Sheff Wed and Arsenal.

Surely Howard Wilkinson has been the most succesful British manager to have played for the Albion.

Not only did he win the old First Division (that's the Premier League in todays money), he also managed England.

I don't think there is any other ex player who has come close.

Number 1: Alan Curbishley
