Brighton & Hove Buses are running a (reduced) service on many of their routes, including the 1/1A, 2, 5/5A/5B, 6, 7, 12/12A/13/14/14A, 22B, 25, 26, 27, 28, 48/49, 50, 77 and 78/79.

Bus 2 will be half-hourly between Shoreham High Street and North Street. Change on to the 25 ( every 20 minutes) for Falmer or walk up to the station for a train.

Is taking the car an option and park anywhere near the ground as parking wardens are not working on boxing day?

PS i have no idea weather they are working or not on boxing day.

Bugger. No number 23 running

Apreciate the info, my neice lives just by the holmbush , does it run via there? Or along shoreham rd
Yep. Buses towards Brighton will call at the Holmbush Centre at 26 & 56 minutes past the hour. They go via Upper Shoreham Road and Old Shoreham Road as far as Olive Road and then via Portland Road.

Did they not have them out on Christmas Day a couple of years ago? My 'hunch' is they will be out as the council (or department in charge) will see a potential cash cow around Coldean and Moulsecoomb given public transport is limited.

I just hope its not raining as I plan to cycle form Shoreham: http://history.buses.co.uk/history/fleethist/ttboxing-261211.pdf It has got to be quicker and easier than the number 2.

Are the park and ride sites open boxing day anyone ?

At Mithras house If park and ride is not open, you can still just get a regular 25/28 to the stadium or 49 which drops you off a short walk away (by bridge car park)

I am still amazed that there is not a bus service that runs up Dyke Road and on to Falmer.

I know!, and just like you Barrel, l'm amazed that there isn't a bus service that runs non-stop from my country lane in Cowfold to the Amex.

It should run at least every ten minutes on a Saturday. I should be able to get on just outside my house, and alight in front of the entrance to the west stand.
