The next step up from a Brigade nearly all of the Army in one area. There would be some in agreement by disregarding his past so it wouldnt be everybody objecting, as I said just the brigade.

Hey here's a thought; rather than our fixation with bringing in ANOTHER new player to lift our ailing side off the backside of the Championship, why not bring in a new manager to make the best of the players we already have?

What about a player manager ?

I wonder if any team will bite the bullet and say we need goals and he can provide them so sign him. A poorly attended team so it wouldnt matter if half their crowd objected but then they probably couldnt afford him as it is virtually certain he and his agent will put a high value on him in terms of wages rather than say I will play for peanuts to re-establish myself.

I was thinking of a team like Brentford with home gates of just over 10k he could get them the goals to get them promoted.

He is obviously not the one Bozza is tweeting about. I think the 2 that spring to mind are Keith Andrews and Emile Heskey but my heart says make it Thierry Henry for 6 months.

Perhaps Ched Evans chat can go on the Ched Evans thread... maybe?

Makes sense. After all, it's always been his dream to play for the Albion - the club he supported as a boy.

That reminds me of a rather delightful summation of the soundbites from the silver whatever...

2: Fabrizio Ravanelli

Rav loved Middlesbrough: 'Middlesbrough gave me so much love - and all I have for these fans is love. They must understand that.' He loved Marseille: 'I don't want to go back to England. I love Marseille: it is my own little paradise.' He loved Middlesbrough again: 'I'd love to go back. I want everyone at Middlesbrough to understand their town is like a dream to me. I have the love of those fans under my skin.' But Derby was The One. 'I love Derby County, I love the city and I love the fans. It's a beautiful place because its people are beautiful. I will put my heart forward for this club - and maybe I will play for free? Money is not important to me...' Now: after a fling with Dundee ('I love the style of football in Scotland... and I love Scotland') Rav's back at Perugia. 'I love Perugia,' he says. 'It's where my heart is.'

You would have to decide what you are signing him for to score goals or be an example to other people. My football head says sign him morally I think not.

Your football head? You want to sign someone who's most recent experience, sporting wise, is running through the showers to avoid getting bummed?

I am talking of his football ability pre 'holiday' if he is near to that standard it would be better than we have but as I said morally not for us. So we move on and look for an acceptable solution to our goal drought.
