A fellow UCC pupil, i was in Livingstone 1LX and 2LX,

Happy days there for me there. Seemed like it lasted forever at the time, but when I look back now it was all over in a flash. Some great times, loyal friends and 100% committed teachers too.

David Williams (English) - you never forget a great teacher.

Yes, it was Langton. Amberley was from Downlands! I started in St Lawrence in 71.

By the time I got to Downlands in 88, I'm pretty sure we didn't have houses. I don't remember any anyway.

Yes it was the same for me, 99% of the teachers were very good, and yes Mr Williams was certainly one of the best, a true welsh man

The Field of Uck
Crowborough Beacon:
Ashdown (yellow)
Innes (red)
Sackville (green)
Neville (blue)

When I was there from 81-86, my house Ashdown were hopeless at virtually everything with Innes coming out top dogs, Sackville generally second and Neville limping into third.

That said, in the second year I did help Ashdown to victory in the inter-house cross country with me and a house-mate finishing first & second having seen one of the Innes guys (who was probably the best runner in the school at the time) get so far ahead of the field that he got lost in the woods and ended up finishing around tenth, much to his tearful disappointment!

I seem to remember they were:

Hurst
Collyers
St Leonards
Mercers

Anyone else go to Collyers in Horsham?

I think the houses were:

Hurst
Collyers
Denne
Mercers

I was in Denne, which is why I remember!
