It might be odd, but there's a degree of 'understandable' about it.

Irrespective of ifs and buts about our season and a fully committed WB.
We can safely say Sunderland would have had to pay considerably more than £2.5m for a fully fit and active Buckley.

So not only did he cheat us fans, he also took money directly out of Tony's pocket and the transfer kitty.

Always said we were mugged for £2.5m. He'll have an injury free season now. Must of been the Amex grass and air which caused his injures.

I know I might sound a bit harsh but I want his hamstring to pop.

He single handedly gave us the best Amex experience to date. He didn't hand in a transfer request or refuse to play but wanted to progress his career. Get a grip

He won't be played week in week out even when fit at Sunderland. Maybe he'll get the rest in between he needs with his hamstrings.

That is bollox. His form was affected after Sunderland came in for him. He never stopped trying so you are talking crap as usual.
Are you his Dad?

We are talking about the same WB who went off at half time because he thought he might get injured, then declared himself fit for the next game, 4 days later.

He might just as well have refused to play because since January he did the best part of feck all for this club while collecting a shit load of money off of a club desperately trying to balance its books. That ONE 'best experience' does not make up for him taking the piss for 8 months or so.

So you know he didn't get a twinge then do you ? You think I might be his dad because I liked him as an Albion player, remember his many many great games and don't particularly want to see him get injured or play poorly. You are a sad individual.

Yours Mr Buckley Senior.

Fair point. The other 2 years he was fantastic though. I can't wish him to get injured just because he wanted to play at the highest level possible.

I agree with ALL you said.

One of my favourite players.
Responsible for the ultimate Amex memory.
I don't wish him, or anyone else for that matter, ill will.

But, by his own admission he 'phoned it in' for his final 6 months here, and that came at a price.
For that reason I'm not surprised others aren't prepared to turn the other cheek.

Oh give over. You're usually more reasonable than that, SB. He didn't admit to phoning it in. He said he tried, but the interest was in the back of his mind probably affecting him more than he would have liked. Fans need to stop being so sensitive and turning it into some sort of scandal.

Right my last post on this but just to say that he admitted to having his form 'affected' by the transfer approach and that he regretted that and tried to knuckle down.
