I think I'll wait to see him play before deciding if he's a good signing. Let's see how that works.

14 goals in 54 for Den Haag suggests he's not just a holding MF, unless of course they were all pens & free kicks. Adds experience so is a good thing though not having a pre-season is not ideal, let's hope he gets up to fitness quickly.

Not exactly well known in England.... Appears to be another player in the mould of Crofts and Stephens.

Defensive midfielder. Is our transfer strategy is to sign as many Bridcutt replacements as possible? Shambles.

Hardly. Looks a quality box to box midfielder who can score goals. Can also take a decent free kick.

Good to hear the optimism, keep it up.

You feel that the defensive midfield role is a key area for us in terms of recruitment ? Get real.

Width, left back and at least 2 strikers is where we need strengthening and quickly.

This signing suggests to me either Toko or Ince arnt up to the task in Hyypias opinion.

Just 3 goals last season. 11 the year before. Equal number of appearances.

If he's any good how is it he wasn't with a club ? Sounds like more penny pinching to me.
Let's hope he turns out to be a bargain, and not like like our other Dutch midfielder !

Well, I've never heard of him, I know nothing of his ability, fitness or the impressions he's made. So I won't cast a verdict. I'll just wait and read other NSCers who seem to know him well enough to make a decision about him now.

Can score goals but only every 10 games. Guessing that will be more than COG though.

39 goals in 212 games is more like 1 in 6. Seems very high to me for a defensive midfielder. I'd be happy with a return of 1 in 10 anyway - that's not bad at all for that position.
