Nonsense. We're all entitled to our opinion. Nothing to do with intelligence. I very much enjoy supporting the Albion, thank you. And I'm the one backing-up Tony! You should be ashamed of being so judgemental.

But what is you're opinion worth?

I could walk up to the scientists at CERN and say "sorry chaps but results speak for themselves and you haven't found the Higgs Boson yet so you're clearly doing a crap job" Am I entitled to my opinion on that subject? And if I made that statement would other people be allowed to point out to me that I don't actually know what I'm talking about?

Yeah come on David, what have you been doing this last year along with player recruitment? Setting up a cat 1 footballing academy and ensuring the long term success of the club. Poor performance this year. ;0)

Come on David, let's get some of the squad vacancies filled by season kick off.

Actually, just concentrate on the goal getting, top gun, main man striker to replace Leo.

Once that's done I'll have a dry bed. Thanx x.

I don't need his job description, thank you. I can clearly see what he is failing to achieve.

I'm sorry, but you've just dismantled any argument you've made - without know what he has been given as requirements by the Board, then you have absolutely no idea whether he is achieving or not.

Bozza I would give 20 quid to REMF if you tell me the 3 names we could have signed in January that Garcia turned down. I obviously promise not to repeat them at any cost

So you agree that you have no idea what it is and you are guessing :lolol::lolol::lolol::lolol::lolol: I'm off into the garden now, my work here is done :bigwave:

Not really. His job (or a key part of it) is to get players in. He failed to make the signings we needed in Jan. And, so far this window, he is failing again. If you can't see that, then it's your problem.

Err. I wouldn't put DB in that bracket, would you!?

The manager wants 6 more players. Correction, 5 minimum. So far, we have none of these. Sami wanted time to prepare these players for the season ahead. So far, DB is falling well short of what is required.

You are backing Tony who knows exactly want went on in the last transfer window. He is backing David Burke - if he were not, DB would no longer be responsible for player recruitment.

You are backing Tony and yet you do not want his staff to use their budget to the club's best advantage, as explained by Bozza.

If you back Tony, then you should trust his judgement on the staff he has employed and their ability to do the job with which they are entrusted. If you are still unhappy with the number of players signed and/or the amount of money spent at the end of the transfer window, then I am sure that you will express your dissatisfaction then. Personally, I think your criticism is untimely.

All fair enough. My view is we are ALREADY behind target in terms of getting players in. Even if we signed 5 by end of today, it would still be a poor show IMHO.

This is a tough one. TB obviously thinks Burke is doing a good job hence why he is still here.
We clearly have a budget to work in and in my eyes the way transfers now seem to work Burke may see better value in waiting.
I think we may sign 3 at most before the season starts. These being essential positions of a GK LB and a Striker. After that we will wait and pad the squad out with loans that become available after the premier league teams have finished sorting their squads. Martin Kelly and Lingard for example have been touted. These 2 players we could not afford to buy but are better than what we could buy.
Burkes job after all is to get us towards the playoffs with players the coach use. We may not agree with everything he has done but last year we did finish in the top 6 and i am sure he will do his best to get players in who will help us finish there again.

Loosen the purse strings does make me chuckle. This really means not abide to FFP rules and ask Tony Bloom to put his hand in his pocket again and give the club a few more million.

I am sure David Burke has a long list of the players we are targeting.

At the same time, agents are hanging on to their players to get the best deal possible (Stephen Ward?).

If we did not start our league season five games before the transfer windows closes or the Premier League had to nominate their 25 man squad before their season started on 16 August - this would be a whole lot simpler and we would not be so stressed.

Not in my world it doesn't. TB is already funding the club BTW. The question is whether the purse strings are loose enough for the competitive squad we were promised by the man himself.

I have to say that is very true - the timing of the window closing just doesn't make sense, in relation to the big Championship KO at least.
